Just way too much inconsistency in this team. Like Fox is the only player who plays well enough most nights. When we fire on all cylinders, no one can stop us. When our big players play like shit, well, look at us today.

And that falls on the system. The system is supposed to even out the effect of individual mood and performance, you should still be able to do your job somewhat.

I know he’s a timid kid from Finland that’s the problem. He’s a 2nd overall pick. Where are the balls! Go be great. Stop apologizing every time u get a chance to score

It's obviously a lot on him, but he and Laf have landed in an awkward situation where they are so far behind the food chain.

This should be this line's calling card. Work the puck around down low, get the puck to the net and crash for the rebounds. Playing like that is how they've been most successful. They look like shit when they try and skill their way through opposing defenses.

I typed up pretty much this exact post but got distracted and never posted it, but you are so right on the money. They either over pass or spend the whole shift forechecking hard but waiting too long for the perfect play. Dirty goals should be their modus operandi.
