Because someone is not apparently telling him that right now. I'm dead serious, either someone is not hammering it enough home on him, or is telling him to not shoot. But there are coaches on that team who can tell him to f***ing shoot. And that is not happening.

We are talking about a head coach who didn't talk to him before scratching him before G6. And stuff like this is not on Gallant, but is that the attitude of the rest of the coaching stuff also? That these guys just ought to know it?

Are they actually afraid that Quinn got canned because he was micro-managing, and now they can't manage at all? I know it's a delicate ballance because you don't want to exactly babysit the top talents of the world. But at the same time it's a multi billion dollar business, you absolutely have to babysit them if you think that will improve the performance. That's why you have skill coaches and assistants to take those hits for the head coach.

It's just so baffling to me that Trouba and Schneider essentially switched bodies from pre to post helmet gate. Schneider as far as I was concerned passed Trouba on the depth chart in October and November. Now Trouba looks like his billing and Schneider looks like a sieve.

This should be this line's calling card. Work the puck around down low, get the puck to the net and crash for the rebounds. Playing like that is how they've been most successful. They look like shit when they try and skill their way through opposing defenses.
