The most encouraging thing for me is that the Bs have been able to bounce back after the losing streak and win two games. Both games were against hungry teams, with Nashville having won a ton of games over the past couple weeks. It doesn't appear that the history of the past two years is going to repeat itself in terms of a total meltdown.

Also, it's cool to see the defense really lock down the past two games after looking disorganized and crappy before that. That takes a lot of pressure off the goalies.

Agree.

Also, getting the PK back to where it was is absolutely key. I don't know what happened to it during that slump, if it was bad luck or poor execution, but they let in a load of PP goals over a stretch of games there and it hurt them big time.

Yeah the PK coming up big has been key as well.

On another note, obviously the players are who ultimately get things done or not, but I think Cassidy and his staff deserve a lot of credit for the team's recent bounce back. That losing streak had to be in the players' heads a little bit given how the past two seasons have ended. The team was not looking too good. Rather than have it snowball, the defense has turned it up a notch and the team is playing as hungry as I've seen them play this year. Cassidy has done something right to get the team refocused and playing hungrier and smarter than before. Keeping my fingers crossed this continues. I really want some playoff hockey in Boston this season.

My pleasure. I know it is frustrating for out of market fans and NESN.com does a terrible job with their website.
Yes, thanks SO much for the videos.

Center Ice cuts away the moment the broadcast goes to commercial at the conclusion of the game. It's frustrating because they always say all the cool things planned for the post game show.

I actually dig these videos even more since they are the entire interviews, and not just sound bytes.

Hopefully Acciari can keep scoring and get promoted to a locker not right outside the shower door. ;)

Tuukka played well. IMO after seeing him up close I have no doubt he is playing with an injury.

I'll be interested to see the responses from the "it's all in his head; he's a headcase" Internet psychologists here if it turns out to be something that requires post-season surgery.

Big, big win last night.

Good on Tuukka for stepping up. The Tuukka hate around here the past week was ridiculous. He's a quality stopper, even if his last couple months haven't been particularly strong. Without him this is a team battling to stay out of the league basement.

I've ragged on Acciari pretty hard lately, but even before his goal last night, was impressed with his game. Few nice hits, and solid plays with the puck, generating chances. Like Nash (whose also been good lately), there are things they both do well, but as forwards their is a minimal level of offense, even as 4th liners, they need to bring to justify their place in the line-up. Right now Nash is exceeding that level of offense, and Acciari is meeting it, so both are assets to helping this team win. That 4th line looks pretty decent right now.

As for the 3rd.....it's a sore spot again down the final stretch, just like last season, only difference is Vatrano is taking Belesky's spot.

Speaking of Belesky, I didn't even notice last night he didn't play until someone mentioned it in this post-game thread.

Solid defensive effort from the entire group last night. I thought Liles stepped in and played well for a guy with very little NHL minutes the past few months.

Thank you from me as well - with Game Center I see very little once the siren sounds - I get 'GAME OVER' on my screen. I wish so much that I could watch the post game content.

Fenway. Thanks again for the time taking. Appreciate post game video and stats during the game.

Rask was composed. Boxed the puck with his glove a couple of time but seemed concentrated. Good game by him. DK and Pastrrnak were the best player upfront. Lucky on a cople of Chara turnovers. Difficulty at the dot. 4 th line came out huge. Nash with another productive game. Hayes on this team is needs to be dress..... and that tells you we have a problem with the third line.

Overall, good game. Crucial one. 2 pts. Now Dallas.

- Great bounce back game by Rask. Well earned first star

- Acciari is a good hockey player. Big weight off his shoulders finally getting off the snide

- Pasta was feeling it tonight. Krejci should have had three goals tonight thanks to Pasta and his underrated playmaking skills.

- Chara is turning back the clock and has looked dominant of late in the defensive zone. He is finishing the season strong.
I like Acciari very happy he scored

He seems beloved on that team his teammates were ecstatic for him

Acciari & Kulary on the 4th going forward could be intriguing

Great team win! The first two periods were outstanding for the Bruins. The Preds were on their heals while the Bruins were on their toes and totally controlled the game. Teams on back to backs usually have some energy early but it fades as the game wares on and fatigue sets in. Just the opposite for the Preds in this one. The third was much like a playoff game. Previaling in those tight games down the stretch is just what you want.

Good on BruinDust for acknowledging Accaria's first goal and overall play. He has been reading the threads here and stepped up to quash the concerns. That whole line was and has been awesome in the past few games. Some serious mo jo as a unit.

Tuukka answered his critics with his fine performance. So key to their chances for getting in.

PK was neutered in this one. He was -3 on the night and otherwise a non factor. Perfect!

Prep for the Stars in what is the preverbial trap game. Keep it rolling!

Looking far more like the up-tempo, confident club that won seven of its first eight games under new coach Bruce Cassidy, the Bruins followed what was a familiar February blueprint Tuesday night at TD Garden.

They took an early 2-0 lead. They were backed by stout, dependable netminding from Tuukka Rask, who turned back 24 shots amid the echoes of talk radio suggesting he was better fit for senior men’s league puckstopping. And above all, they won, pinning a 4-1 defeat on the Nashville Predators and maintaining their hold on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Meet the new Bruins, same as the old Bruins, or at least the Bruins who dusted themselves off upon Cassidy’s arrival and repositioned themselves for a run at the playoffs.

In Tuesday’s third period, the cigarette that usually dangles from the side of Tuukka Rask’s mouth was trampled under Nashville’s pressure.

Rask, usually smooth and gliding around his crease, was in full battle mode, scrambling and diving and fighting his way through bodies and sticks. The Predators, dormant in the first period, roared to life in the third to send pucks and people at the Boston net.

Rask stood tall amid the assault. Even the puck that beat him, a last-second Craig Smith tip of a Roman Josi point shot, was right in his crosshairs until the final moment.

Rask busted his tail for his win, his first in his last five starts. Rask burned a lot of calories in the third when he elevated his game to match Nashville’s heat.

Just finished watching the game despite knowing what the outcome was prior to it as I was somewhat glued to it as I was watching the Jeremy Lauzon led Huskies beat my Mooseheads here last night:(

Terrific first period, 2nd was ok, nice push from the Preds but Tuukka made the saves he needed to when called upon, nothing he could do on that goal.

Great to see Acciari pop his first, that 4th line has started to find a groove and the kid never leaves you feeling ripped off in the effort and heart department

I am not sure if he`s in their plans but my man crush on Dom Moore has grown steadily this year and if DS were to look at keeping him around next season, I`d have no issues with it

I`ve been less than impressed with DK but whatever it is that had him miss a practice or leave it, hope it continues as he was flying out there with Pasta, actually noticed him shift in and out and the B`s need him to play like that all the time

Just keep taking care of business boys

I know others have said it but I would also like to thank you for the videos and updates. I unfortunately missed last nights game travelling and surprisingly Quebec doesn't show a lot of Bruins highlights :)

The vast majority of the time, I am dead set against retaining veteran non-core UFAs.

Moore is one of the few I would make an exception for and would have no problem if Sweeney could find a way to retain him on a 1-year deal for the right dollar figure.

as for Tuukka. Its gotta be something like Crohns disease.

I mean the guy is fine on Thursday-misses Saturday and is fine on Monday.
Then that game in Toronto where he just bolted off the ice. He probably went straight to the bathroom.

Anyways. He played good last nite. Defense blocked a lot of shots.

Our third line is brutal.

Gotta get cehlarik in there and put him on line 2.
That way we can get Stafford on the first line and throw Back on line 3 with Spooner and Vatrano
