I have not even noticed him, so that's good in my book.

He has had a tough year, and his stats still say he's a top liner. His goal production has dipped, but his season hasn't gone very well, and he's still producing at a good clip. The player we saw the past two years is closer to the real johansen then the one this year. I 100% believe that, and I think I'll be proven correct next year.

Watch the Neal goal tonight a few times again where Joey gets the assist. Now explain to me why that is a play that is valuable. It's not. Neal makes the play. Every now and then you'll see an assist that is noteworthy, but 9/10 times or more it's a pointless stat. 2nd assists only make it worse.

Not trying to defend Joey but assists do mean something. You're helping the team to score, putting people in spots or situations to put the puck in the net.

The kid oozes talent, but motivation has been an issue for him for several years. I even wonder how much of a stretch it is to suggest his numbers last season were from being motivated by the All-Star Game in his team's city?

Comparing the remaining schedules of the teams around us, ours is much more difficult than some of the other teams. Could easily see us only winning 1 or 2, but maybe they'll surprise us and win 3.

If it's one or two though, that could easilt put us in the top 3 for odds, which would be nice.

Joey had the puck from a standstill position, with Neal bursting down the wing. Some players would just dump the puck in, but he dealt it to Neal instead who wrister it top corner. It was a good play. Wasn't spectacular obviously, but it was a good play.

He's a good player, but he's not the elite #1 center some people want to make him out to be. He's a good #2 center or below average #1. Put him on teams with true #1 centers and tell me what line he'd be on. Even in our own division. You think he'd be on a line ahead of Crosby (or Malkin), Tavares, Giroux, Backstrom? I'm not even sure he'd be ahead of guys like Stepan/Brassard/Henrique. How about in the Central?

I don't miss him as a player at all. TBH, if Jenner continues to play center I see us as having upgraded at that position with Jenner over Joey.
