Any one of our D could sit, they are all slow and clumsy. I would put Erixon in too and yank (pick one).

:shakehead

Lets not get so down because of a pair of losses. We don't have any elite defensemen on this team, but what we do have is deep group (8 or 9) of reliable dmen, and a couple guys with offensive tool sets as well.

I'm not being down on them, i'm being realistic, offense comes from defense and that's been our biggest problem for a decade. We have never had a legit 1-2 guy. We have a bus load of 4-6 guys.

Would have liked to see Erixon in over Schultz or Savard/Prout

Me too, I also would have liked a little shakeup with the forwards. Horton needs to step up at some point, this is out of hand. If he can't shoot, hit, fight, etc. because of his shoulder, then he needs to sit out.

I don't get the Savard hate. He's arguably been our steadiest defenseman since Murray went down.

Where do you see hate in my post? We need offense, nothing against Savard but he doesn't supply a lot of it. I listed him and Prout second for a reason.

Quit reading more into my posts than there is.

Well hate was a strong word, I apologize. But we need steadlyness, and Savard was a major point producer in Juniors and AHL, I don't know his PP numbers, but maybe he deserves more of a chance to showcase his offensive skills? Other than that, I agree.

Anybody know our overall record in nationally televised games? Not that there's been many, but it feels to me like it hasn't been that great over the years.

Well we lost to PIT earlier in the year, and we lost to DET in a shootout last year, and the nwe beat DET a year before. so at least 1-1-1 :P

the last national game that I recall very well is 3/28/12 versus Detroit. Allen York's first win. Great game, post Nash. JMFJ was truly a BMF that day. The battles with Holmstrom towards the end of the game were epic.

It was the first game I can remember thinking the CBJ were a team to contend with and on the right path.

I have to admit I don't understand the sentiment for bringing Erixon, someone who is not played with the team all season, and inserting him into the line up for a crucial game.

Agree... As for me, I'd be pleased to just read a media report about Erixon...
