Ugh. Did everything right, made wife breakfast in bed, put some good music on, and she says…

“I’d like to go for a drive out to Daylesford today” (more than an hour out of Melbourne).

Me - “angry ranger fan noises…”

Her - “oh you guys got Florida, you can watch the highlights when we get home, you’re probably gonna lose anyway…..”

Me - “more angry ranger fan noises….”

Her - “shut up, it’s not even playoffs yet….”
I have family in Melbourne. Love the beaches.

What is "Bag Skating"?
Just liners. Or suicides if you prefer that term. I'm actually not entirely sure how the name "bag skate" came to be. Maybe they used to make the players drag a bag of pucks or something behind them to make it extra tough.

"The origin of the term bag skate is unclear. There are various explanations, ranging from the fact the pucks were traditionally left in bags, to the notion that a bag is needed to heave into after all that skating."

Melbourne
I know there are some here who watched Go Bots and are afraid to admit it.

I liked them when I visited. So did my dog.

Didn't see a single dirtbag in my 2 mile walk. Not one over 3 days.

And I know a junkie when I see one. Was paid to keep them off the streets.

The rest of the country would happily tell you our beaches are the worst. So if you're ever down here again make sure you can travel out of the city if possible as they get even better down along the coast

Wish I'd gotten to Melbourne (and Brisbane) when I was there.
Mike knows Melbourne better than I do, but when I visited my dad in late 2018, I loved my time walking the beach near him with my dog. Super friendly people, white sand, blue water.

At least compared to Jones Beach. 🤣

Ok. Let them tell me what they want, but when I went, I enjoyed the beach. Does the rest of the country want me to rip up the pictures i had on the beach with my family too?

Can we move the fuk on now lol. Jeeezus.

I was there in 2011, Melbourne and Yarra Valley and the wineries. Also Sydney, did the bridge walk and opera house and all that. Great memories.
