McAvoy sacrificed everything to win an exhibition game.

If he was playing with a bad shoulder from the Finland game, I don't know why he's throwing hits like it's the championship game. Win or lose, everyone was expecting both teams to advance.

Everyone thinks he was amazing because he threw those hits. Yet he was at fault for Canadas goal

He's a big boy, making big boy decisions. It's not like he didn't have a say in whether he continued playing with an injury.

Bruins brass can be upset with whoever they like, but Charlie should shoulder the blame here.

Makes sense this perspective is coming from a Leafs fan? "Why try hard when you don't have to?" The lack of heart on that team fuses into the fanbase too?

Bobby Orr wasn't catching him. Blaming McAvoy shows me you have never played a competitive game of hockey in your life. McAvoy was screwed by Guentzels stick position and Werenski being to far from the blueline. Nice try, but just another know nothing take.

Nope just trying to reset the ball washing algorithm behind the farce that Canada is a tough team .
Canada does have more overall grit. I said this before US-Canada Saturday. To me
McAvoy is the only physical d man on US and the Tkachuks and Miller only physical forwards and looked what happened Saturday.

Didn’t appear to be the case in the first game, fights aside , Canada was on their heels and afraid to get dirty for large portions of that game.

I can't take you serious when you say Charlie macavoy intimidated Crosby and mcdavid, and I have a hard time understanding your take of a "crushing" hit.hey Charlie played a great game man but slow your roll.

Did you know that mcavoy’s ‘weak chin’ look is a pretty good indicator of incest within the genetic line?

I saw it differently. One stretch pass had the left D Werenski out of position and then he floated coming back.
RD McAvoy had to come over and play it for a second like a 2-1, which it was, but that gave McDavid enough to go wide. Even then McAvoy stayed with him and forced McDavid to take a bad angle backhand that he roofed.

Yeah, when the right D is defending on the left side of the D-zone (one a developing 2v1), no one who understands the game would blame him for that goal.

And yet here we are. Gotta love HFBoards, where passion and ignorance mix.
