I'm pretty sure if they LTIRed Lindgren he'd have to wait until next game to come back, for what it's worth.

Lindgren will immediately go down after blocking a shot and then return to the bench making this face:

Joe will say "boy, he's such a warrior, Sam."

He's bleeding even though he got hit in the leg.

A section of this fanbase is having trouble moving past the rebuild stage. Most of us knew the rebuild was over after Wilson pummeled Panarin's head into the ice.
The rebuild is over once you make the ECF. I mean lets graduate our thought process.

Imagine being Carolina.... and only adding Poolparty and Ghost? IMO that type of TDL should warrant the over reactions

Carolina is being left behind playing moneyball looking for deals, while the true contenders make massive adds to their roster. They succeed in the regular season playing a playoff style day in day out, but when every team is playing that way in the playoffs their lack of high end talent can't stack up.

It was over before that.

Fox won the Norris that year. Zibanejad had 50 in 56 and Panarin had 58 in 42. We had one more point than a team that made the SCF.

Hell, we were 37-28-5 the year before that.

The rebuild began when they traded Stepan whether they want to admit it or not. The 16-17 team being good was a complete accident.

We were in the latter stages of it when we signed Panarin. Fox, Chytil, Kakko, Kravtsov, Miller, Lindgren, and Shesterkin were already in the organization at that point.

That's your rebuild. Winning the Lafreniere lottery was another complete accident.

People think rebuilds are being terrible for ten years. That's a failed rebuild.

Don't disagree. They also executed a rebuild amazingly well compared to some of these joke franchises that havent made the playoffs in 10 years. All that despite a global pandemic and Davidson & Gorton taking their foot off the gas and paying with their jobs during the shortened season in 2021.

Also, you can't say they didn't change a lot.

There are certainly things I would like to still change, nobody's perfect, but the rebuild completely transformed the offense this team is expected to out out.

I've mentioned it before: Vince Trocheck is having a nice little season; on pace for 66 points.

Ten years ago, we would build a statue for a center putting up 66 points, nevermind Zibanejad sliding into the DM's of 90.

Fox is literally just about doubling what we used to think was a lot of points for a defenseman, no offense Ryan.

Yes, scoring went up by a lot, and we struggled earlier in the year relative to this league, but it's still nothing like Zuccarello putting up 56 and you think he's an offensive savant. I don't miss that.

At $5.6 million in salary. We also aren't loaded down with bad contracts everywhere. We actually have some great value contracts.

Good stuff so far boys. Let’s keep it going.

And K’Andre is really gonna get the Fox contract, isn’t he?
I dount it, i think the point in giving fox that contract was like Lidstrom in Detroit, he makes the most and everyone else falls under him.

That's Buffalo for you. Going on 12 years now with no playoffs? That's not a rebuild, it's just sad at that point. I think 5 years is a decent time-line for a rebuild. Rangers did it in 4 years?
Eichel's gone. They're fully on their second rebuild.

I think it's going well, but it needs to be acknowledged that it's the second one if it's gone on that long.

Hell, God bless the Avalanche for putting it together but they drafted Makar six years after they drafted Landeskog. That's your second one.

I really hope the Ducks get Bedard, it's been painful over there. lol.

And that team is no where near as good without Makar. He was their second rebuild.

I think Makar has been having some injury issues this season, and if that is the case they are in trouble. But they won the cup last year, so it's just like extra gravy for them if they can make another run.

Trouba is probably the worst value deficit and the deficit is, what, maybe $2m?

He's had a down year, especially the first half, but a replacement would cost at least $6m to reliably absorb the same minutes. That's what top 4 defensemen make on the low-end.

Goodrow is a bad dollars contract but he has no clauses.

And before somebody starts with me: ARTEMI PANARIN IS NOT A VALUE DEFICIT!!! $11.6m is what ~90th percentile players make. He's fair value.

Zibanejad is in the 90th to 95th percentile and Kreider is probably in the 85th to 90th. They're both underpaid by $3-4m.

Fox is in the 100th percentile. He's in a "count them on one hand" tier of players. He should be making league max.

All of our stars on huge bargains except for Panarin who is right at value.

You absolutely can't blame our front office for the shitty cap. We don't have any bad contracts that have a lot of length or no outs.

Ghost was a good add for Carolina. Losing Pac and Svech for the season hurts them for sure, but they are still a great team. Don't be quick to write them off. They play a real prick of a style and they are tough to break out clean against.

If we give up a goal tonight, I'm done with this team.

Who scores first. Shesty, Mikkola, Kakko or Kravtsov?
