Yes and no. I got a little bit of reg season fatigue during the rebuild.

Here at least it feels like we are prepping for something with line combos and avoiding injuries.

But yeah even though we all clearly love hockey, the regular season is too long and too many teams make the playoffs- making the season even less important. That's the finance part of the equation.
 
To Canes fans, Trocheck is probably the devil himself, joining with the enemy.

Canes been struggling for a bit and losing Svech must hurt. They're still a dangerous team who took us to 7 games last spring. Couple blowout wins against washed up penguins and Nashville playing their B team don't mean a lot. Get 2 points out of these 2 games and I'm happy.

We have a chance to improve our standing, but it's been the same for some time now.

I'd honestly like the old Playoff Format with 1-8 in the conference. These games would have a little more meaning

This place is called "Hockey's Future." It's always been a prospect-forward community. An A prospect is better than a B player. I get the annoyance of trading draft picks and not winning the Cup. But hindsight is 20/20 and at some point you have to step on the dance floor if you want to dance. Drury took a calculated risk this deadline. Futures for now. I'm on board. LFGR.

Some are complaining with having the absolutely most stacked team in the history of the org.... and it cost what exactly? A 1st which in we had 2 of them and we keep the better pick. Or a 2nd that turns into a 1st if we get back to the ECF? A 2nd in this draft is a lot closer to value than a 1st in next draft. I just do not get it. This is what we all were clamoring for 10 years ago. We're finally here and we're still complaining with how we got here.

you want to complain about something. Drury signing Nemeth and then giving up a 2nd to get rid of Nemeth

A section of this fanbase is having trouble moving past the rebuild stage. Most of us knew the rebuild was over after Wilson pummeled Panarin's head into the ice.
