GDT: GAME 70 | Senators @ Sabres | The Prodigal Son Returns Edition | Tue Mar 25 2025, 7PM | TSN5, RDS2

We play Columbus 3 time and they just got Monahan back too. These games won’t be easy.

Detroit will definitely try to play spoiler too. We have a lot of very tough games coming up … more reason why this one was a must win.
Yea but everyone was getting aroused at how easy our schedule is.

There are no easy games in the league especially if you're the Sens

Interesting how a hurt Brady can dominate the game and other guys don't show up.
Regardless it came down to Goaltending. Good for Buffalo and bad for Ottawa. Expected goals were 4.95 to 1.25

Forsberg was shaky .. although he did make a couple good saves. The JBD goal was deflating
Zetterlund .. is one weird looking dude. He had ample chances to score his 1st goal. .. He works hard but is not very polished. He should have finished/pinned Benson behind the net on Thompson's ; Hamonic was a pylon on that play but Benson never should have escaped. Hamonic is just a meat head on everything he does. Jury is still out for me on where Zetterlund fits. He works hard and can turn pucks over; He had his chances.. more viewings to come

Hamonic and Kleven over 16 minutes is too much they should be down 3-4 minutes

Sens were the better team for large parts but they lack killer instinct and the intensity to bury teams they should beat at a critical time of year.

Amadio is getting wasted on the 4th line . He fits with Pinto and Greig better than Giroux . The line is tighter and better on the forecheck with him on it.
Pinto must be playing hurt.

Gaudette is not an NHL player. Highmore is a replacement level 4th line player that has some ability to defend

I think Green has done a really good job overall... His belief in Hamonic and Gaudette particularly is a stain

Greig and Perron continue their good play down the stretch we need more from others

Very disappointing loss

Ullmark saved their bacon the last time they played Detroit. He will be asked to again. I am not confident the Sens will beat the wings next game.

Let's hope the Sens play like they did in the first half before when the game was tied for the entire game, we should win if we outplay the Red Wings for majority of the game.

Games are always hard on the road. The month of April is 9 games, only one on the road.

You still have to show up and compete and anything can happen, but the schedule to close the season is a massive advantage. Odds makers will confirm this.

Goaltenders can steal games; goaltenders can lose games. . That happened last night.
It just tells me that our offense doesn't know how to finish in tight games and it annoys me to be honest. Stutzle, Tkachuk, Zetterlund, Batherson, Cozens, Pinto and on and on and they can't beat the Buffalo Sabres when we need it. Barf.

Just think about how much better they have to be to even keep up with Detroit if Detroit decides to play like that again

You named a bunch of non snipers.

A whole bunch of 20 goal guys lumped together? That's good enough to beat James Reimer on a hot night and take out the mighty Buffalo Sabres to further ensure a playoff spot for the first time in nearly a decade, but ok.
