GDT: GAME 70 | Senators @ Sabres | The Prodigal Son Returns Edition | Tue Mar 25 2025, 7PM | TSN5, RDS2

Zetterlund whiffing on every puck man. Get him on the third line where his forecheck will be valued.
Totally disagree. That line was one of the few dangerous things we had going tonight. Buddy turned over pucks but couldn't buy one
Is be more pissed about gaudette/hamonic minutes at the end of the 3rd or the sieve in nets

I have no will to be mad over gaudette and hamonic. They will continue playing.

I mean, they dominated the scoring chances, this game is mostly on Forsberg, with an assist from Hamonic.

Expected goals was 5.5 to 1. 19.

Point to numbers all you want, but what we saw was a team that either goes full throttle or breaks down and allows golden scoring chances at the worst moments. Sure, we could have won with Ullmark, but you can't just stop playing for chunks of time and expect your goalie to save your ass.

The fact that professionals watch Hamonic play and keep playing him is insane to me

We even have a new analytics guy for god’s sake

Thats why I always laugh when people say yeahhh armchair gm. Country club up there of blind people
If Sean Tierney has any sway in the org he's probably telling them to not play Matinpalo.

The Kleven/Matinpalo pairing is getting some of the worst results in the league. Worse than Kleven/Hamonic.

They allowed the same amount of shots they took in half the time.

0-6 vs Habs and Sabres is real tough.

Sens have a hard time playing when they start thinking they are the better team. Too easy for them to fall back into playing on the outside.

Still a lot of work to do to lock down a spot. Looks like they thought it was a cinch after the 6 game win streak and aren't playing desperate for 60 minutes.

If they execute on their chances they still win that game. But finishing is also a challenge.

Sad that they didn't bring home a win for Cozens against his old team.

No matter how bad you think Kleven/Matinpalo is, there's no way in hell they're as bad together as Kleven was with Hamonic tonight.

And Columbus will be hungry as f*** when we play them. This is going to get to 0-3 verrrrryyy quickly
I don’t even see us beating Columbus in a single game. They could probably overtake us honestly. That one Hamonic shot tonight probably made Travis change his pants in the intermission. His ice time is only going to go up.

Id be curious to the time spent together?

Hamonic drags everyone down its insane

I found it the opposite. Often times I'll see a Sabres game and sometimes they look pretty good, yet end up blowing the games at the end. I swear in their 13 game losing streak they were leading in most of the games and messed up at the end.

They allowed the same amount of shots they took in half the time.
yeah because Forsberg was giving terrible rebounds.

What the actual f*** is forsberg doing on the JBD goal. Like where does he think that puck is going?

He reacts to it like he didn’t know jbd was allowed to shoot.
