Gauthier is so bad Jesus Christ. He has negative hockey IQ in every aspect of the game.

Sam and Joe making excuses for the Rangers is infuriating. The Devils, Islanders and Flyers all suck and there’s no excuse for the Rangers to lose to all 3 within a week and get shutout by two of them. Also funny how MSG won’t jsut up about how many shots on goal we have despite almost never mentioning shots on goal bc we’re usually being out shot.

They can talk about Jones playing well all they want, this isn’t some locked in goalie on Hasek mode. He looks fine but it’s more lucky and picks just hitting him than him really doing much. We’re just shooting ourselves in the foot. Too late, hesitation, posts, nobody in front for the rebounds. Just poor attention to detail and execution by most of the roster.

I hated the way we played against the islanders. I’m frustrated about this game, but like the way we’ve looked other than odd man rushes against. At least they’re battling hard

If we can’t put anything on the scoreboard in two periods against an inferior team after two early goals, I’d say there’s much bigger issues than the goaltending.

First one was for sure. Unscreened shot from the point with no screen that he tried to glove and missed. Second goal was an odd man rush against from below the dots that was a bit more understandable.

But it was on back to back shots so it felt worse than it was.

Fortunately he’s been pretty good, maybe even spectacular since the second goal by stopping some breakaways. I think he just missed one. He’s human. But he doesn’t look “uncomfortable” out there like some goalies do after a softie.

He’s tightened back up.
