A lot of 16-17 year olds in the CHL aren't even close to fully grown. Many parents are choosing NCAA over CHL because of this.

In the NHL both are at least adults.

A 20 year old versus a 16 year old is not a fair fight. This happened recently and the 16 year old kid was KOed. Guy went after him because he legally hit his teammate.

I'd agree, but it's also not a fair fight in the NHL between a 28 year old and an 18 year old.

It's not fair in the Q for a 20 year old to lay a huge hit on a 16 year old.

I don't know, I see fighting being eroded from the game, and this as an excuse for some in positions of power to push that agenda forward.

Habs score their PP goals because of how bad they are causing other teams to take more chances short handed and when the other team messes up they can't get back in position. We have no real offensive zone time and no real threat.

It's pretty rare that teenagers fight in the NHL, even Lucic was protected from fighting at 19 by Bruins.

Plus, not that many teenagers actually make the NHL, so it's generally not a huge issue.

Exactly, the culture around the league generally means we don't need to outlaw fighting based on a few outlier cases. Ex. Byron fighting Weegar wasn't "fair".

Anyway, we can agree to disagree. Didn't mean to get so off topic.

Some one needsd to start asking HARD questions about our selection process for the PP in the off season. How is Pitlick getting first wave over Gurianov? :help:

I’m sure the training staff will send Anderson back out
