songs the gap in salary......so he shoukd be that much better.
As are most number one 80 million dollar Dmen.
I dint compare him to Gryz and Forbert. I compare him to the other 9 million dollar number one D.
Last years play offs he came up way short.
Having said that he is rhe best they have by far.
But the future Nortis trophy conversations that were going on. NAH
It’s hard to win a Norris with the likes of Makar & Fox in this league. Even the fact that he’s in the conversation with those guys is remarkable. He’s an elite defenseman and top 5-6 in the NHL.

3 pts in 7GP isn’t good enough from your top line center.
He is not a top line center

On the 2 late goals by the Ducks, the Bruins tried and failed 5 times to clear the puck out of the zone, Zacha waited too long and was caught, another player fanned completely, also Beecher missing a wide open net did not help, but still not worrying about blowing a game to a west opponent in October, move on to the next game.

He hasn't been crap. Cmon now. Can he be better? Of course. But crap? Nah
He has no goals. He is supposed to be a goal scorer. Thats his supposed strength. Every year he is like this. Streaky people say. I thin it’s inconsistent effort. For the good of the team i hope he turns it around because it helps the bruins win.

Nah.
He shows flashes of that in the regular. But he dropped big time in last years play offs. When it mattered most the Panthers ate him alive. He looked like Justin Holl out there.

He is among the top 10 for certain but Makar, Fox, Hedman, and Josi are generally considered better. Dahlin, McAvoy, Pietrangelo, Theodore, and Heiskanen are pretty much at the same level.

McAvoy to me has a lot of a lot of ryan mcdonagh in him at his prime with a lot more hitting of course and a bit more in scoring .

Claude has definitely lost a step though. Not sure he is the answer.
I'd make the switch in a heartbeat.

Zacha & Coyle just aren’t top centers. It’s as simple as that.

It’s not that they “suck” - it’s that they are a #2/3 at best.
I mean it is what it is. I don't think they've been bad at all. Zacha in particular has made a lot of nice plays, is defensively responsible, he hasn't been mailing it in at all. He's just not a top center. Just doesn't drive the play at all. However I prefer him to Coyle. He does enough to allow other talented players on his line to take over.

If somebody told me before the season that the Bs would be 6-0-1 I would have been more than happy with that. Last night what was so frustrating was the manner in which the Bs lost -- gave the game away late then didn't show up in OT.

Hate to lose like that heading into a tough part of the schedule. 11 of the next 13 games are against quality teams. The other 2 of those 13 games are against a Montreal team that is better than it was last season and is a rival.

We're going to see where this team actually stands over the next few weeks.

Bruins collapsed down low kept the front of the net clear also blocked a ton of shots.they still tend to collapse down low ,but the clearing front of the net not so much it’s what’s killed them in the playoffs for awhile now,and with different coaches,I think it’s more the players on the ice that is the problem.

Couldn't agree more. I think we will do ok over this stretch coming up. Not great, but not a dumpster fire, either.

Lot of talent, great goaltending, some exciting youth, and getting some greasy goals.

But we are weak at C, our young guys cannot be expected to not have dips, and outside of our starting 20 we are not deep at all. Inevitable injuries will take a toll.

At the end of the day, I suspect that we'll squeak into the playoffs and then we'll see if we can ride a hot goalie. But it will be a bumpy season and I think we'd going to look a back at this 6-0-1 start (schedule be damned a win is a win is a win) and as you say be really happy with that. Could make a huge difference.

I also predict that at some point this season this place is going to be Rough with a Massive Massive Capital R.

If you listen carefully today, you can already hear the knives sharpening.

Agreed. All joking aside, I think we all knew that this would be a season that had some bumps in it.

I still think it's going to be rocky - and maybe frustrating at times -- but they banked 13 out of 14 points to start the season. A bit of a gift schedule, but you still have to win the games and those points might well make a pretty big difference when all is said and done.
agreed, loads of new faces and now you lose Looch and Lauko on the 4th and replace them with Brown and Boqvist, neither who get my heart pumping good. Is this a cap/waiver thing that the B`s can`t call up 2 players who could contribute more?
