Good lord I really hope you aren't serious. End zone face offs play a huge part in determining the outcome of games and I will agree with Ron, anyone who thinks otherwise....
 
Even if you look at last year's final numbers, out of top 10 teams, 6 teams had FOW% below 50%.

And I'm not saying FOs aren't important. The words I'm using are overrated and overemphasized.

Anyhoo, enough with the FO talk.

Overall FOW% of top teams doesn't actually tell you how important being able to win face-offs is, though, because you don't know how often those teams are in critical face-off situations.

Obviously face-offs become much more impactful depending on situation -- for instance, D-Zone faceoffs on the PK -- and those are the times that the top FO center is gonna get out there. So overall FOW% is less important than whether a team does have at least one center that can win those critical face-offs reliably.
