That’s up there with the worst loss of the season. I couldn’t give less of a shit about the standings or any of that nonsense. It’s irrelevant. What does matter Hughes cannot score since his injury and Bratt is a total non factor.

Absolutely dog shit loss, Hughes and Bratt have to wake the f*** up. This loss would've been way worse if Schmid didn't bail them out the first 2 periods as well.

1998-99: 14-4-0-3 in April and lost in the 1st round

1999-00: 7-10-0-1 in April and won the Cup

Your late season record, like your regular season record with a certain team, doesn’t mean much at all in terms of Playoff results (as long as you get in).

Health is more critical.

I like winning too, and definitely want more from some players, but this isn’t going to affect the playoffs. It’s still March.
Great post.

This team goes as far as Hughes and Goaltending takes them. Lately, both have been missing (not blaming Schmid here, just speaking in general).

Hughes has been a f***in disgrace lately. And Bratt. Nothing to do with lines, those two are not only not producing but they are liabilities with turnovers.

We’ll come to regret that if we have to play these ****heads in the playoffs
We’d have to actually win the division to get them in round one. To have any chance of it.

Too many more efforts like this + Carolina winning + the return of Little Richard = probably not winning the division.

Might even mean the Rangers passing us, but that’s really getting far ahead of things and I’ll admit borderline irrational right now.

Nope. Season's over. Just pack it in right now.

Way to let down Schmid. Hope to see some serious fire tomorrow. First adversity in awhile for these guys. Certain players need to step up and get back on track.

This TB/FLA stretch is a good one. Both of these teams play playoff style hockey and even if we controlled the play against TB, its a good learning process. God knows, there sure is a lot to be learned for this group despite being 3rd in the league.

I still believe it’s injury related. There is no possible way his play has dropped off this much, without an injury.
