Letowski availed himself of the line randomizer function on his iPad.Why was Slaf playing with Gallagher? Did the 1st line get broken up? I just tuned in.

Finding a 40 goalscorer is a lot harder than a 25 goalscorer. The kid is supposed to score goals. 20 goals at 8 million for a sniper who will never be good defensively is not good.
Nah.Caufield will always be this player guys. The problem is he's not scoring 40-50.
All the bad stuff is amplified when he's a 20-25 goal scorer.
Lol, such a dramatic boardYou know the feeling when you love a team and there is this one player who just suck out any fun and joy from you.
This is Matheson for me.
They give me St. Louis 2019 vibes. I think they'll just be hot.Their goalies will likely collapse in the playoffs. Canucks and Jets have far better goaltending.
Suzuki and Slaf are playing amazing no doubt, but you guys are acting like Caufield is dragging ass like Anderson out thereHes the clear weak link on the line.
A lot? I'm taking into account that he's playing way too much. If Joel Armia was playing 30 minutes a game I wouldn't be calling him the worst player in NHL history, I'd say he's playing too much. You excuse matheson a lot, Ive noticed
I'm not even mad, Oilers just clearly a better team. Definitely concerned about CC though. Why can't we have nice things?
Matheson is just forced to be a #1 D man when he's not. He's clearly a very solid 2nd pairing D.A lot? I'm taking into account that he's playing way too much. If Joel Armia was playing 30 minutes a game I wouldn't be calling him the worst player in NHL history, I'd say he's playing too much.
Blaming Matheson for Caufield giving up a 2 on 1 or Anderson having zero awareness of who's on the ice while being soft as shit is not excusing Matheson, it's putting more blame on the other guys for making a bigger mistake.
Oilers have really played us tight. A lot better defensively than I thought we’d be.I'm not even mad, Oilers just clearly a better team. Definitely concerned about CC though. Why can't we have nice things?
The only thing wrong is the shooting percentage. That’s it.It's been apparent to me for some time Cole Caufield is not what we need on the left side of our top line.
It's never going to be his game.
I would surprised if he wasn't back to form next year. I really think the surgery affected him.
I'm not worried either, but he's not having a good year.that's true, but let's just disagree. im not worried for Caufield at all.
let's see what he can do next year in a proper Top 6
Yes saying that he's having a bad year for his standards is me calling him a 20 goalscorer from now on. I expect him to bounce back, but he's not been good enough this year.Yup, he's done, he's officially a 20 goal scorer from now on.
Best trade him while we can.
I think so too.I would surprised if he wasn't back to form next year. I really think the surgery affected him.
Not really. He's just not been very dynamic and has had quite a few games with poor shot selection. He looks to be getting carried by Suzuki and Slaf. I'm sure he'll overcome it though. The only thing wrong is the shooting percentage. That’s it.
Nah.

They played us tight in Montreal too if I recall correctly. Ryan was a pain in the ass in that game as well and this was before they got Henrique.Oilers have really played us tight. A lot better defensively than I thought we’d be.
