GDT: GAME 67 | Senators @ Canadiens | Playing with the Big Boys Now Part 1 Edition | Tue Mar 18 2025, 7PM | TSN2, TSN5, RDS

He is having one of the best offensive defenseman rookie seasons of all time? He is a Quinn Hughes level player. He’s gonna be killing us for years, sorry to say.

Picked his spot. Perfect shot. Lucky deflection to boot.
Went by Amadio like he was not there. And Amadio was not there because he over-skated Hutson and could not stop and recover quickly enough.

He definitely is. I was at the Boston game sitting 4 rows behind the Sens bench and could clearly see him favouring his leg/hip. His shifts were noticeably shorter than his line-mates ( more than usual) and didn't play the last couple of minutes.
I thought he winced in the offensive corner.. there was a bit of contact where he had to keep his balance and it looked like he winced to me. Definitely its taking away from his A game which this team needs. That whole line is affected. Stutzle has to rev it up a little more to pick up the slack.

I'd like him to take a game off if there is a good chance it helps it get better. That could mean 11-7 but I believe there is cap space to call someone up. Sens have options for a callup.. MacEwen, Jenik, Reinhart

Credit goes to Hutson... he is shifty and slick as a shit house rat ... tough to contain in open ice. You are being too hard on Amadio who you have grilled since the beginning of the year.

Hutson has made better players than Amadio look silly.

My bigger concern is how a guy like Highmore can cause game-deciding gaffes in the little time that he has.

So what is it? .. Brady seems to be trying to own not playing up to snuff vs the habs and is not using playing hurt as an excuse.

I guess we find out with how he plays vs the Avs...

I think he wants to be the guy that sucks it up and plays but I still he's not 100

We choked hard last night, it was a sign of not pleasant things but we aren't going to win every game. The team should've won and shown some killer instinct, but that takes time and we just have to hope there's less of these types of games where we let an opposing team come back.

No, I think the team has weaknesses that need to be addressed: soft defensemen, soft forwards, too many slow forwards.
Forwards were not soft for most of this year. They played some of the absolute hardest stingiest defence in the league. Been horrible since the 4 nations

Problem is that I think Brady has had this for a while; long before the 4 Nations. Then he aggravated it there and now he is playing through it as the team needs him. And it probably needs a few weeks to heal up.
I bet when they clinch a playoff spot he will take some games off.

0% chance we beat the Panthers in the first round. We have a decent shot against the Caps.

That said you play to win. But WC2 is the better spot.
If our play continues to be so bad that we drop even further and have to sneak into the last spot I doubt we will be able to beat AnYoNE in the playoffs.

He’s obviously hurt. Guy was taken out of a game last week, been skipping practice, has his least physical game ever and we’re supposed to believe he’s healthy?

I'm amazed people's knees are still attached given how many jerks have been happening around here after one game.

But was it one game? The previous win streak before our 5 game skid had some red flags that the results were better than body of work. Now we’ve seen the same where a win streak ends and objectively the body of work lately is concerning. The opposite is true where we see the team play strong despite not getting points but in both cases, the trend of play is a good predictor. Now it’s back to injury concerns to key players when the group as a whole isn’t rolling.
