GDT: GAME 67 | Senators @ Canadiens | Playing with the Big Boys Now Part 1 Edition | Tue Mar 18 2025, 7PM | TSN2, TSN5, RDS

The Suzuki reverse hit on Kleven defined the game and probably the season series to date, the hit (beautiful hit by Suzuki, dude obviously doesn’t skimp in the gym and should be on Team Canada) the hit stunned us all I’ve never seen Kleven go backwards like that when he has his balance but at the same time as a Sens fan seeing that hit - line ‘em up and let’s run it again.

That’s how depth works usually. It isn’t as good as the main option. Otherwise that player wouldn’t be depth.
Ya, thanks. That’s obvious. LOL. I was focused on & referring to the impact on the team. I don’t think giving time off for one practice & the Colorado game (per your post) is going to heal whatever ails him. So, yes Zetterlund is depth, but whether its Brady being hampered by his injury and/or getting time off, that will have an impact on the team. If that occurs during in the stretch run and/or into the playoffs, that wouldn’t be good.

Moneypuck has us as the favourites for tomorrow lmao. I'm guessing they're taking the home/away records of both teams and Avs playing a b2b on the road in consideration.

I remember we played pretty well against the Avs last year. We were up by 2 goals in both games but Soogard couldn't stop a puck.
As fans, we tend to underestimate the parity in the league, and the degree of advantage home ice gets you.

Over the last 5 seasons, home ice teams have an average pts% of .591 (97 pts pace), while away teams have a pts% of .518 (85 pts pace)

The difference between a top 5 team in the league over that same stretch and a bubble team (17th) is a 105pts pace and a 92 pts pace.

Basically, home ice advantage wipes out the advantage a top 5 team has over a bubble team, and puts them on pretty even footing.

Colorado is currently 10th in pts%, we're 14th. It's not at all surprising that we're favourites, and that's before getting into the fact that Col is on the back end of a back to back.
