I would rather rebuild but i don't mind if MB is all in. But he needs to be all in for real. Like you said guys like Kopitar. This is being all in. Signing Chiarot is pretending. I do not accept the status quo anymore though and wont watch any game again until the status quo is over. He doesn't have 3 years to be all in. He must be all in or rebuild this summer or for me it's over until he is replaced and he'll join Houle as the worst GM ever. He has to take a decision this summer. Fans should stop moving the goal post. It's now or never. There's only 1 year left to many of our contracts and it must be hapenning this summer or it's not happening at all and a change of management must be made and a rebuild initialized. Enough with the waiting game and the bargain bin.

Not early at all considering we would most probably be in a playoff position with Hughes on LD rather than KK being in Laval

Doubt that Hughes alone takes us to a playoff spot. Talk to me when both players are 21-23 age range. Right now, Hughes is ahead but you don't expect movement up/down with both players to come which is weird.

Take a look at Hughes tonight... That is what we need on LD

Sad but true story is that we could have had him.... but we drafted for needs (C) BIG mistake...and lots of you kept saying he was too small and couldn't play defense

big mistake in a draft where they couldn’t afford to miss.

KK might be a good 2nd line C, but will likely never have an impact that Hughes already has.

No we wouldn't.

Hughes would be in his 2nd NHL season since MB would have rush the kid into it and he would be a Mete 2.0 Right now.

Get real. Our development suck, KK has all the f***ing skills and just last year after 3 months he was compared to Barkov's talent and that he might even develop faster than Barkov! Poehling the next ROR came in into the league full of confidence ready to tear people some new holes, scored 3 goals, looked like a top 6 ready NHLer and they found a way to stick the kid into mediocrity by trying to '' fix '' what wasn't broken.

Mete was skating all around the place making great first passes, rushing in with the offense and fast enough to cover the 3rd man back if there was a turnover. Now they make him play like a f***ing 5.9'' stay at home D. They are trying to put him in a situation where obvioulsy he won't be able to perform with his talents. Of course u can work on shit, but don't throw a fish off a building hoping that he will learn to fly before reaching the ground.

Canucks are 4-4-2 in their last 10, with their last 6 games at home, where they won 3 and lost 3. They have a losing record on the road at 13-15-2. Price plays well against them, we can win this one.

Canucks were playing flat hockey for a bit. They came out of their slumber vs Minnesota and dominated them but a bad bounce and lost 4-3 in a shootout in a game they shoulda won. Then demolished the bruins on Saturday. Two very good games in a row. They have been sub par on the road and need to fix this . This is a huge trip for the Canucks , I expect them to come out flying , but you never know the way price has dominated us for years.

good luck tonight

They're 17-7-2 in their last 26 games and just clubbed the Bruins 9-3 in their last game.

But we'll see what happens. They may not be the greatest road team, but we're not the greatest home team...

If we beat the Canucks and the Leafs lose in Tampa, we're 4 points behind the Leafs...

Make no mistake, we needed LHD also.....but you don’t pick Quinn Hughes at 3 when he’s not slotted to go there.

That’s like this years draft and picking Rossi at 3.......

All I know is that we win 3 games, FLO and TOR loses 3 and we're in ... That's far from impossible.

Why do I always put my hopes in something where I know i'll get hurt.
exactly, may as well cheer away now...they aren't tanking so...6 pts behind that's it. Crazier things have happened i suppose

Especially since our 3rd overall pick hasn't even fixed the center issue. Suzuki, Domi and Danault improving is what has helped the center issue. I see many people crying that we gave up Sergachev for Drouin, but the real thing we need to cry about is passing up on Hughes. Hughes+Drouin>>>>>>>KK+Sergachev AINEC.

Imagine paying tickets to go see Pete, Boeser, Hughes, Horvat...

ROFL, stupid Vancouver fans. What you want to see is guys grind and try hard, like Gallagher, Danault, Byron, Armia, Lekhonen, Evans, Weise, Chiarot, Alzner, Folin.

Really? 4 points behind the greatest team ever assembled? that's a feather in MB hat. :sarcasm:

You are joking right?. You could chop off Hughes right leg and he would still be twice the player Victor Mete will ever be. Want to know why Hughes looks better than KK? Because he is already one of the best skating dmen in the game while KK's skating still looks bad in the minors. He is uber talented while KK has never had the same kind of hands. And Hughes has sky high IQ, which is supposed to be KK's best quality.

Idk what to tell you if you thought KK could be Barkov. Barkov was NHL ready when he was 16. He was an incredible prospect. KK's stock rose after a U18 performance and the fact that he did well in a mens league. As for Poehling, no, he pretty much always had 3rd line upside. But hey he scores 3 goals in 1 game and suddenly he is compared to the Stanley Cup, Conn Smythe and Selke winning #1 C lol. We overrate our prospects like crazy.

Mete could have been handled better but there is no reason why his game is getting worse after each year and he DEFINITELY wasn't going to put up the numbers that Quinn Hughes is putting up. That's simply being delusional.

Hey Habs,

Canuck fan here looking for a scouting report on your team.

How has Price been?
How is the defence? solid? gives up chances?
Do the Habs play a grind it out game or run and gun
Any forwards that is playing particularly well? Gallagher always seems to play well vs his hometown.

thanks in advance

As for Canucks: they struggle vs grind it out heavy teams but will do well in a run and gun setting.
We are currently giving up a ton of high danger chances and Markstrom has been bailing us out. However with Demko in, i think we will play a more safe defensive game than we are used to.

- obvs youve heard that our young backup is our main guy for the next month or so. Demko is solid but has holes that Markstrom doesnt have,
- Q Hughes is the team MVP. He controls the game on both ends of the ice and will play over 20+ minutes. His flaw is defensive zone board play.

- Top line and PP is carrying the mail for us right now Miller- Pettersson- Tofolli
they draw a lot of penalties too.
- Horvat line will be used to try and matchup with your best top line.

- Canucks have 3 guys in the top 10 for faceoffs. Horvat,Miller, Beagle

good luck tonight, im down for a 3 point overtime game. No injuries on both sides please! Stay healthy and catch the Leafs!

With the Habs, you never know what you'll get. 1 game they look like a team that compete for the cup,the next they look like a team that doesn't give a dam about anything. Very Jekyll and Hyde. Not worth putting any $ on for sure,so unpredictable.

It all depends on what you mean by slotted to go there. If you mean slotted by our crack team of super-duper scouts, okay but
iIf you mean slotted by Bobby Mac or the drafting services, who cares.

They definitely neuter their young players. They must play defence , defence , defence. Break them , break them

Once again, we would found a way to f*** things up like making him play in his draft year. Quinn wouldn't be close to the player he is rn if he was playing with us. I know that Hughes is great, that's not the point.
We overvalue our prospect because they deserve the praise. They are comparable with other teams prospect that actually bloom and ours just never do.

Suzuki is the exception to that rule because he was able to produce even with plugs. Just to point out something to you, Quinn played 3rd pair minutes against the Bruins in their 9-3 win, Hughes has 17 min including the 4min PP which is more than anyone else. Only 13 min 5v5.
