I can only imagine the apocalyptic **** storm on the main boards if for whatever reason we acquired Subban.
You would have to re-design the Subban classlessness scale.
Which makes no sense to me. I mean, sure I can see where people would hate Brown or Nolan, or whoever on this team. I get that. Some people on HF though act like we're the second coming of the 74-75 Flyers with how dirty they think we are. Yet, when, for example, Perry does something dirty, we never make a thread on the main board burning him at the stake.
I seriously feel like we should just start parodying these types of threads by creating pointless and baseless threads against random NHL players just because.

The hate is mainly spewed by VAN, ANA and PHX fans with a sprinkling of STL and SJ trolls. Given our recent history against their teams, it's not unexpected.

It's gonna get worse now that the Kings are in playoff/stretch mode. They are intimidating on the ice both physically and skill wise right now. They look eerily like 2012, I hope they keep it up and provide more thread fodder for the masses!

if the Nolan punch in question was the scrum he had reason. they showed the video during the game. the EDM player looked like he reached for his junk while everything was going on. Jordan wasn't really doing anything and then suddenly went ballistic on the dude for good reason.

With the score 4-1 and the Oilers trying to screw with Doughty and Quick, that's absolutely the right time to send a message. Apparently, that's not what Nolan was upset about though.
I bet that play gets a few laughs in the Kings' room.

he can send that message without throwing a cheap shot. I don't think anyone can question that it was a sucker punch.
I lie 90% of what nolan brings to the table, and to be effective he has to play with an edge, but that was just stupid.

What I've always loved about the whiny fans of this sport is their oh-so casual usage of the term "classless." I mean, we're talking about hockey players, for crying out loud. When you get down to brass tacks, they're a fairly rowdy, boorish group. They stink, they sweat, they spit, they trash talk each other's spouses, family, and personal problems, they give each other little shots with their sticks whenever they can get away with it. Every pileup in front of the net has the potential to be a silly masculine standoff. And people cheer them on when they stop the game to bash each other with their fists. In hockey class is the exception, not the rule. It's also a privilege, not a right. Very few guys should be able to earn such a distinction.
And I think Nolan should probably be suspended for that sucker punch too, but why even waste your breath classifying it with such a holier than thou attitude? This isn't billiards.
