It's not Zadorov's fault his stick snapped. If people want to blame him for that, they also have to blame Pastrnak for not scoring earlier in the game because his stick broke. It happens, happens too often. Bad shipment of sticks? Maybe try a new vendor going forward.
... but as people have said, that one play sums up Boston's season. What ever can go wrong has.

On the positive side Korpisalo looked good tonight.
The problem was going across the middle in your own end with an attacker present when you had a side/boards option. You need the point, you have to eat 18 seconds. Stick break was bad luck, but that is the wrong play x infinity in that situation.

It’s the right play under the circumstances tonight. Bruins now projected with the #8 pick and climbing.

Like everyone else said … good game that sums up their season. Thought Korpi played well but would’ve liked to see an active stick on the Aho short handed goal. Stayed deep in his net and let Aho out wait him. Brutal turnover that led to that. Lot of good looks… was fun to watch at least.

Some things in life are just unexplainable.

This team was doomed to mediocrity, at times in crushing ways, from the start.

I don’t believe in “making your own luck”.

I maintain that the difference between a great team and a mediocre team is often simply 100 or so lucky or unlucky bounces over the course of a 6-9 month long season.

Play out the string, collect some new talent and hope the hockey gods smile on us next season.
Well we're # 9 on Tankathon this morning so I suppose that's good news??

The effort in this game was much better than I thought it would be and the Bruins were the better team for most of the game. The bright side, at least we lost in regulation and did not get the loser point. It is hard watching your team the way it is now, knowing you are probably better off losing to get into potential higher draft ranking.

Stick broke, not sure how thats his fault
Thanks, Clode, one of the few that actually witnessed what happened, I just don't get how you can rip this guy for that, Pasta, had a scoring chance blowup, because of a similar stick breakage. Maybe time to go back to wooden sticks. Zadorov, would have liked to crawl in a hole,

That play would have been completed, if not for the stick, and I see no mention of Loheri, turnover, with similar results.

Part of that was Carolina knew they were playing against a bottom feeder. Turned it on the last 10 minutes and put the puck in the net twice with one counting.
Really disagree with this . The Bruins played an uptempo agressive forechecking game which really showed in the performance. Some bad luck and the usual issues, bad turnovers and lack of finish was the difference. If they had played this style of hockey for the majority of the season we wouldn't be talking about the tank and selling . We'd be refreshing the deadline day tracker to see who we acquired.

That's as uninterested as I have seen Carolina play Boston in Carolina
in at least 4 years. Bruins have taken some literal brutal beatings from them in last 4 years. Outscored Boston in 2021-22 16-1, then lost earlier this year 8-2.

Think if something was really on line last night, Carolina would have dusted them.

I couldn't watch the first period live, which is the only reason I'm alive because if I had been Mason Lohrei would have killed me on that first Canes goal.
