He’s probably a million dollars overpaid.

That said, ultimately he’s been OK. He’s been forced up in the lineup and relied on for heavy minutes in the absence of McAvoy and Lindholm.

You can count on your hand how many players have been good this year.
Could they have kept Forbort for half the money they are paying Zadarov ?

Funny how it was almost an AHL lineup……yet they played one of their best games. Still the same old mistakes happened with a SH goal against and a late game mistake. Meh. Let’s see what tomorrow brings (I personally think not much will change as they won’t make major moves…..) and watch down the stretch for them to get ready for the draft.

At one time to say the Bruins were done with this many games left would have got you beaten up. Now it’s just a reality

It's a helluva lot easier to watch the B's lose another close game in the last minute when you're hoping for a better lottery pick

..this team desperately needs a shakeup

Think he pretty clearly had a passing lane and then Carlo has plenty of outlet options from there. Don’t think the decision was terrible as long as the stick doesn’t explode.
It's not Zadorov's fault his stick snapped. If people want to blame him for that, they also have to blame Pastrnak for not scoring earlier in the game because his stick broke. It happens, happens too often. Bad shipment of sticks? Maybe try a new vendor going forward.
... but as people have said, that one play sums up Boston's season. What ever can go wrong has.

On the positive side Korpisalo looked good tonight.

Clutch play! Huge for the tank!

They played better tonight due to the Providence guys. They are winning in Providence and you can see as much as the talent isn’t there. They played with purpose and effort. Far too many regulars are dejected and have slowed their effort. Maybe it rubs off on the rest of them. It’s one thing in noticed tonight

Does anyone see Rantanen still there by end of day tomorrow? I can't see him re-signing there. Doesn't look comfortable at all and his minutes are down under Brind'Amour.

Having to do that stupid clap at the end of the game would be enough for me to want to get the heck out of Carolina.

Yup,just look at 1st goal by Aho.Pastrnak could have easily taken body and saved Lohrei & Korpi but did a drive by. The tents are folded & it's house money level now.

I think Canes are getting less then they paid for him if they move him. They watched Guentzel walk so tough spot.I am them I trade him though because he is going to free agency .Ownership must be pissed with management trading the package they did and not sure he would sign

also if you blame zadorov for his stick exploding you're out of your mind, just pick another reason to complain about him
Listen man..The play was up the wall, not right across the slot area with 19 seconds left. That was a bone head decision & exactly what happened is why you should not do it.Always that possibility or he could knock it out of mid air .

I think Carolina knew that Necas was walking after next year no matter what they offered him. They gambled thinking that having a large collection of Finns might be enough to get Rantanen to stay long-term. My guess is if they thought they had any chance of extending Necas past next year, this deal never happens.

That was actually one of their better efforts on the season and they were fast and you have to wonder where that's been all year? If they'd played at that pace all season we'd be in the playoffs. So was this a team that was playing to not get traded? Maybe that's been part of the problem. This great "culture" has made them too happy and complacent. Too much comradery and confidence and not enough effort. Spoiled rotten by too many years of winning games. Maybe. In any event bad luck and there it is. Better to gut it now.

I wonder if they can talk Zadorov into Vancouver?

Geekie's price should be at an all time high. Sell high.

That very well could be true .They gave up Drury a 2nd & 4th too.Tough stuff on heels of Guentzel last season.

Like to keep Geekie at only 26 .He works well with Pastrnak. That line needs a legit top C..Anyhow if they get a bomb for him that's fine too.
