Have a feeling Braun is going to look great on this team, he was averaging like 20 mins per game in Philly. He will not be playing that much here which should yield better results for us, no?

Agreed. Excited to see what he can do in more sheltered minutes. Although a bit nervous about pairing him with Nemeth. I think he's going to be a nice surprise for us.

He's been played out of position all year. He's a good fourth liner and is so much better than the garbage we had last year. He's been a really good pickup by Drury and hopefully now that we've added significant depth he'll be appreciated more in his more fitting limited role.

Schneider is 20 folks

He's gotten a real good look and will continue to get time.

The right move is to put the two vets together because thats what they will roll with in the playoffs. They will be a PK pair and it will allow them to manage the other two pairings time, specifically Fox and Lindgren. They may not need to PK at all anymore.

Schneider will likely get a look in the playoffs at some point and will be challenged right away, and then the fans will complain when he struggles.

Its the right move for the team.

If I’m Chytil and the coach is still putting me at 3C after picking up one of the best 3rd liners/centers in the league, I’m ready to run through brick walls for him to prove him right and show people why I belong. Incredible opportunity for Chytil that will very likely make or break his future here. He needs to sieze this.

I'm not worried about Schneider sitting tonight. A 20 year old D is in a lot worse position than a 20 year old F. When the F is a no show, no one's happy but the other linemates can hide the bad game somewhat. When the rookie D screws up, the whole building knows it and it usually leads to a GA or a high percentage scoring chance and the D can't always rely on his partner to save him (I'm looking at you Nemeth).

There is absolutely no reason to rush Schneider and I'd like to see him play at least half the remaining 19 or so games and win the job over Braun. If he doesn't, then it's a good thing he's not going to get exposed in the POs and damage his confidence. Having said all that, I thought it was Schneider carrying Nemeth so let's see what happens now.

Fox, Lindgren, and Miller are all playoff babies. Trouba and Nemeth don’t have a lot of experience between them either. it’s honestly fine if he doesn’t play much there. he’s getting plenty of good experience as is
