- if people are blaming Shesterkin for being down 1-0, they shoudl just stop watching hockey now. It's not your sport, bro.

- Chytil needs to be better there. Just puck watching, not marking anything.

- Kakko had a terrible period. Tentative stuff everywhere. Against a tougher, bigger team like the Bs, he, all of players needs to play fast and hard and aggressive. We need him to use his size. His first period was deeply frustrating to watch. Laffy is the only one going full speed on that line right now.

- netfront. netfront. netfront. can't win if you can't control the inside. Or at least compete there. We contested ours well at times, but we always give up a bunch of those chances. You can have all the elite talent in the world, if you can't win the netfront, you can't win NHL games with any consistency.

- I am withholding my judgement of this team construction until everyone is back in the lineup and Kane feels more adjusted. But if we are this soft going into the playoffs... oof. I keep having Petr Nedved flashbacks.

Who are you kidding....you'd still be just as angry. And we'd love you for it.

That goal wasn't even super weak or anything. But you can't go 0 for 1 on difficult chances when the team plays their heart out that undermanned. It's absolutely appalling. I don't know how Igor sleeps at night.

Idk how anyone is absolving Igor right now. He has been a shell of what he was. He’s legitimately the weak link on this team.

Georgiev is having a better season than him on a team that’s been as injured as we are all season.

We’re out in round one with this Igor.

He may just not be a truly elite nhl starter. It’s a skill set to be able to be consistently elite. He’s probably more of the very good goalie mold who is capable of elite runs but not really a truly elite guy.

Any of that aside though, he’s been average to flat bad most of this season.

He turned it over in the neutral zone because Spongebob skated past it on his way to the Krusty Krab

Nope, he tried to make an extra move when he didn’t need to. I get that dumping it in isn’t ideal but you can’t p***yfoot with the puck against this team unless you have a clear path into their zone.

Laf trying to throw a hit on someone is inconsequential to that entire sequence. He didn’t leave the team short down low (it was 3 v 3) and it only became an issue because Chytil decided to double cover someone.

You’re better than this.

Dude this intermission show is a mess lol. They interrupt each other and never finish their thoughts. And it has Subban. Awful.
i don't even bother anymore with their intermission.

What is up with Trocheck today? Anyone tell him there's a game going on?
hes been ok...been mixing it up w/ mcavoy and is not winning that battle currently. got destroyed by a reverse hit....gotta feel bad for him in d zone tho, hes on his own. also that line being matched by bergeron so going to be tough sledding all day to find chances, esp on road where they get last change. if that line produces today or at least controls play more itd be a seriously impressive. thought they were ok in the first...did get some chances, more than any other line. struggle to get puck out of zone when as expected

When i complain about the d its not always the defensemen I'm talking about, Chytil made a terrible defensive play to give up one of the highest danger chances you can hand someone.

I get it, but playing with 5 D doesn't help. We played an ALMOST perfect period defensively. The ONE chance they give up isn't even unstoppable (not a softy I'll agree) and our goalie gives the goal up. How about making ONE big save this season? Just one.

his first year or 2 he would annihilate people but got called for majors half the time for basically hitting too hard. they were almost all textbook, think that got in his head and hes been pillow soft ever since
The league pretty much neutered him after the Carey Price incident.

The clear path into the zone was Lafreniere. He skated right the f*** past it.

I think we’d beat Carolina again. We always play Toronto well. NJ is a toss up.

Tampa we probably lose to in 6 or 7, and Boston we get blown out.
Edmonton likely has the best chance against against Boston. They’ll play run-and-gun; Bruins will have to play the same. McDavid ultimately prevails. No too pairing can shut him down for four games.

We’re young and slow lol
Not that young anymore …

I feel like going back to Hank Rangers fans want to hate on the team so much that they let the goaltending slide. Team goes 20 minutes and give up one chance of note that wasn't some unstoppable chance and our goalie gives up the goal and everyone but him gets blamed. We're playing a team that might have the best record of all time when all is said and done and we gave them nothing with 5 D, three of them playing higher in the lineup than they should and Rangers fans complain about the D. It's mind boggling.
Goes back to Richter, or even before.

Richter could play like three day old dogshit, and it was always someone else’s fault, because he stopped Bure on a penalty shot five years ago.

He blew 2 or 3 chances to clear the puck out of the zone, one directly leading to a Pasternak scoring chance. Can't hold on to his equipment to boot, dropping his glove on one shift, his stick on another.. He needs to be better coming out in the 2nd.
