We all know his offensive abilities supersedes his defensive liabilities. We hope anyways. Be nice to see him improve on the defensive side a bit.

After this many years you think he would at least make an effort to improve on his weaknesses. He’s actually gotten worse and is so so scared of taking a hit along the boards. Great scorer, totally useless in any other aspect of the game.

Meanwhile Ehlers lays it all on the line for the team. Will block shots, fight, play whatever role is asked and never seems to complain. Yet he gets screwed.

I want domination. I don't know what happened but the first 3 games Connor Scheifele Vilardi were bullying lines, they just had no luck. Hasn't been the same since but they need to figure out that RW if Connor-Scheif is in stone. Your first line can't consistently break even. They need to be a big plus. Especially when they get the most ice time

My hope for the Jets top line to be able to contend for the cup is atleast 52% Corsi/xG and 53-54% actual goals. They certainly can't be bleeding chances against like the carotid artery has been cut off like the were with 13 on that wing. They haven't been awful defensively so far tonight but remains to be seen if Names can help them over the long run.

My opinion is that your first line CAN break even, providing your winning the other 3 lines, goaltending and special teams match ups. Having Ehlers on that 2nd line makes it so much better

Look at rhe the top lines in the west. Edmonton has McDavid, Vegas has Eichal, Colorado has Mackinnon, etc... I don't think that we'll ever have a top line like that be cause we'll never finish low enough to draft that C and we ain't attracting one here either

So chevy needs to figure out a different way to do it. It happens all the time. You used to have to have a Roy or Brodeur or Vasilevski to win, until Vegas came along and did it differently

To me, as mong as we're stacking up wins, I'm happy. It's the depth that makes me believe. We don't have a Melaleinan or Stenlund.

Maybe those numbers should be pluses. I think Oilers at plus 600 means you win 600 for a 100 bet if they win the Cup. I think minus means you have to bet 600 to win 100 and that would be crazy.

Mono has had both hips operated on, and has been injury free for the last year and a half. Hopefully those hips are fine, otherwise he should be fine. Tyler Myers also had both hips operated on about 3 years ago, and has been playing fine since. I hope that Mono stays healthy. I think he can take hits, it's more his hips that are of concern. We'll see ??
