Also, I think the rate of 2 vs 1 conversions is actually pretty low...as in under 20%. Meaning that NHL defensemen usually snuff them out...

He's fine. Not really a strong top 4 guy, but would do well enough in a limited role that the Sharks can't give him because their defensive depth is trash and everyone plays over their heads. Some people seem to hate him but he'd be a perfectly cromulent #4/5 guy if this team could really afford to do that with him.
