You guys are too worried on the "what ifs", deal with that when it comes to it. Leafs have been better team 4 out of the 5 games so far this series. I would expect that to continue tonight. The main thing is limit the mistakes, don't let them get good chances off the counter attack, and for the love of god finish your chances tonight. If they can capitalize early on their chances it makes MTL have to play more aggressive and that leads to more mistakes.

It makes sense and all, and I'm well aware, but it still won't change what's in my head

They were close games for the most part and even though it was a sweep had the look of playoff hockey that's missing in this series. The lack of scrums after the whistle, no crazy amount of hitting and the lack of hatred between the teams. I'm guessing most haven't watched much of the other series at all. If you did you would see a difference in the hockey played.

To me playoff hockey is laying your body on the line. For one reason or another this series lacks it.

I watched the entire series and outside of game 3 it was exceptionally boring hockey. Game 1 of that series was easily the most lifeless game of the playoffs so far.

Hyman looked great last game for the first time since returning from injury.
If Marner wakes up tonight, that first line will go on a rampage and bury these Habs.

If the top line plays to their ability there is nothing the Canadiens can do to overcome them. Here is hoping we see their best game of the series tonight.

You don't want to face price in a game 7.

You don't want that kind of pressure on Campbell.

Simply put show up and kick ass tibight

We are ready are the boys.

I'm not blaming the current the Leafs, I'm referring to the franchise as a whole. Dubas has done a good job and Matthews will go down as the best Leaf ever. I think we'll win tonight and be in the final within the next 3-4 years, maybe even this one.

Saying that, our ineptitude over the past 5 decades is pretty obvious and many of the same players on the current roster have struggled come playoff time. I can't blame people for being in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode. I'm one of them.

Ever since they went into that scorched earth rebuild and rebranded with the classic logo and celebrated their 100th anniversary, I feel there's very little continuity between the old Leafs and the current Leafs in terms of how they do business on and off the ice.

This current Leaf team almost feels like expansion team reset and whatever holds back this era is just not the same as whatever it was in the past.

I agree. It helped we drafted Matthews at around the same time, but Dubas under Shanahan has shown he isn't satisfied with the status quo and will make moves he thinks will get us a cup. I'm more optimistic than I've been since we lost to Jersey in the Conference finals.

If Hyman is still on the first line we will see more of the same. Nothing from the top line.

I believe the first goal will be huge again... I mean its an easy statement to make right? It really seems to set the tone of the game though. Habs get it, at home, feeling good, some fans behind them... Leafs get it, Habs start forcing it, fans get on them a little...

I mean, we all know which team is better. Its about goddamn time they show it once and for all!
