Trying going to eastern Quebec like Quebec City. I had a cab driver taking me from a hotel to a concert and the driver pretended not to speak English. After a while he interrupts me and my friend to ridicule us for not speaking French.

I literally gave him a 5 cent tip. Nice nickle for him
