Pretty impressive...
Devil's are clearly better, but we're not making it easy for them.

Losing 1 top 6 & 2 top 4 players this early in the year and yet maintaining this level of compete is impressive work by the coaching staff going all the way back to camp.

It's far from perfect, the PP in particular is atrocious, but it's impressive nonetheless.

Team could easily be in free fall already

If they want to focus developing Pearson and Anderson, send down Slaf for him to play with Roy and Andersson. We are treating him as if he's a bottom 6 grinder instead of a 1st OA. Cooley is getting a million minutes a night and is stapled next to Schmaltz and Keller on the PP to boost his confidence offensively.
There is the Ducks way with Carlsson: play them only against weak teams.

Anderson should just stick to grinding instead of the skilled game.

He's not that good of a grinder, due to the fact he's not that good at cycling the puck. He's at his best on the rush. Every time he looks like he's improved, he regresses for like 5 games after that. Don't know what to think about him, as I think his size and strength is needed on this team. Xhekaj can't be the only one who can step up. At the same time, he's a tough player to put in a lineup since he doesn't gel with anyone.

Is there a team with worse hand-eye coordination than the Habs? How many pucks just easily go through their legs or sticks like they weren't even there? How many 50/50 loose pucks they're not able to recover? It's crazy

If Hughes gets a chance to move him he should do it

Even if Slaf has improved, I would really like to hear HuGo explain with more detail why they can't send him down. Play him with Roy on the other wing and see his confidence get a boost. He'll also learn from a high IQ offensive player at the same time.
I was more open to the idea of him being up when Dach was here. I think it actually would’ve worked.

But now? Yeah… I think I’d send him down.
