Hmmm... I wonder who he is replacing.

#Habs Parenteau returns to action tonight. "I can't tell you," he said, when asked who his linemates will be. Possible power play time.

Secret Secrets. I'd say DLR or Flynn. Weise isn't practicing today but they said he's got a therapy day. So who knows maybe he's out?

sitting DLR is the right move. he has been doing okay but we need PAP and some creativity up front. hope to see him with Pleks and Patches. Then EGG, Weise-DD-Smith-Pelly, Prust-Mitchell-Flynn

We're not a contender anymore. We were a contender, before Bergevin tried to improve the roster, but ended up making it worse and knocking us out of contention.

In this league of parity, you can't worsen your bottom six significantly without seriously affecting your ability to win.

Going from Bournival, Thomas, Sekac, and Andrighetto to DSP, Flynn, and Mitchell has been a disaster.

Our best lineup this year should have been:

Pacioretty Desharnais Sekac
Galchenyuk Plekanec Gallagher
Andrighetto Eller Weise
Bournival De La Rose/Mitchell Thomas

Prust can come in for one of the small young guys if we're playing a physical team. But the most successful teams in the playoffs will be the fast teams. Just wait and see.

What's wrong with you? That post is just.. wrong.

The Habs will win and the game winning goal will be scored by Parenteau after he deflected a shot from Gilbert after DD won a faceoff and passed it back to him.

Not watching it, as usual when they play on the road. Will be following up things here on this forum.

Don't expect much tonight, as the Hens will come out guns a blazzin'. And since we suck mucho in the first period, I'm guessing it will be another slamdown. Unless Carey does is regular season Carey.

Then everything on the line for MANY - game 7 baby.

I would try:

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher

Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Weise

Smith Pelly - Eller - Parenteau

Prust - Mitchell - Flynn

In 40 years of watching Habs I have never seen them drop 2 games after being up 3-0.

While I applaud your enthusiasm, and we're probably somewhere between the crap team (execution-wise) from the past few game and a Stanley Cup contender, I think some of the criticisms are deserved:

- Pacioretty, injury or not, still has that monkey on his back, no matter if he thinks he took it off last year.
- MT is IMO what's coming in between us and being a contender -- I think you're right that we do have the roster to do it, particularly with Price
- DD is...not meant to be used the way he is
- I don't think anyone thinks "we have no system". It's precisely the nature of the system we DO have that has evoked a lot of negativity. All year btw.
- The PP...seriously. I mean, come on. Another thing that could vault us to contender status if it was even just middle of the pack.

I think we should be positive, but also rightly disappointed by what's going on right now. Big let downs after going up 3-0.

Guess we'll just have to see what happens and conclude whether the mental fortitude is there. Never been taken to game 6 after being up 3-0, so we've already made history. Let's not compound that.

You're both wrong:

It was also on TVA the other night. Twice in our history we have gone from a 3-0 lead to 6th game. So no, it's not the first time. We have never been pushed to a game 7 though.

Delusional fans.

Can't score a damn goal 5on5. Can't score a goal on the PP which is absolutely pathetic. Top 6 is non existent lead by a 5'5 1st line centerman who has 2 goals in over 30 playoff games.

Oh yea, we're contenders. LMAO.

Winning tonight does not change anything. This team is far away from contending. Watch other teams (especially in the West) and you'll see how far we are. Praying your goalie stands on his head does not mean you're a contender.

2 goals in last 3 games.

Goal leader is a 3rd/4th liner

Points leaders are 2 4th liner

Our best goal scorer cant do **** in the playoffs.

Our first offensive center still suck.

I don't care much about the regular season accomplishment.

this team has many problems when the playoffs arrive.

"Are there *any* teams in the NHL who should be feeling as good about their team right now than the habs? Maybe Rangers? Anyone else? "

Obviously Chicago and Anaheim .It's not easy to feel good about this team the way they are playing. You said Tampa is playing BAD yet we aren't? I hope the good and lucky team shows up soon!

Anaheim, Chicago, Calgary, Detroit, NY rangers and Ottawa probably all feel pretty good and I honestly do not think the habs would win a series against any of these teams the way they are playing. Without a PP and without stable lines I do not like our chances if we get by Ottawa.
