If Germany had any sort of respectable depth they'd have a real shot in this tournament.

Unfortunately for them, Seider and Stutzle can't play 60 minutes.

It's honestly a shame they're in this group, I bet they'd make some real noise in the other group.

Germany is actually good, but the US is making things easier for Germany by trying to minimize their skill advantage. They're also getting destroyed by the German powerplay

For the game he plays and how big he is, Seider skates and stickhandles beautifully.

He doesn't look like too much of a reach at last draft anymore.

So far, and maybe it is just me but I don't see much difference between these teams at even strength. Could be a long day at the office for the U.S

I see a difference in terms of intensity and commitment to hard work.

But I also see a difference in terms of skill. The US has to start competing harder because I think their play with the puck is just a tad more polished.

Germany is really good. IMO 6th or 7th best team in the tournament. Problem is 4(or 3 if GER > CZE) of those ahead are in this pool too. Americans have dumb lines.

I thought so too. For the last 6 years I’ve seen Boychuck do that about 3 times a game and it never works lol.

I said it before the tournament started. This is one of the weakest defensive casts USA has had in a long time.

I was skeptical of the U.S defense before the tournament and said so, so far it's not looking good enough to get it done here this year, I think it's a bigger issue then the lines.
