If Germany had any sort of respectable depth they'd have a real shot in this tournament.

Unfortunately for them, Seider and Stutzle can't play 60 minutes.

All true. The Germanswill surpass a number of countries soon I think. It's in their DNA
Possibly, they have to keep thinking building aggressive skill play and try to leave back off counterattacking in the past if they want to accomplish that however.

still, can you imagine a hockey instead of football crazed Germany ? look the f*** out then, lol

Their forward depth is great. Seider is another story but they really don't need Stutzle playing 60 minutes. It's highly questionable if he is even best German forward at all.

Shootout would be fine with me I guess. Not sure but I think they gonna feel the short recovery time for sure, at least the top players who are playing so many minutes. However I'm more confident for tomorrow after the first period, even though I still think you guys will take it.

Overall a pretty good period, depth is killing the team though

Seider played massive minutes on no rest in the Traverse City tournament. Has been playing 20+ a few times in three games in three nights in the AHL. Not sure he tires easily, guy looks built and thinks the game like a huge minute muncher. I expect he will be great tomorrow.

Really excited as a Wings fan where his game is already and the upside.

Who would you say is the best German forward? Based on that period I think its pretty clearly Stutzle. I agree the depth on forward is better so he doesnt need to be out as much as Seider but hes their clear go to guy up front I think. Bokk probably should be the top dog based on age but it really doesnt look like it

I couldn't see who that player was, just waiting for the puck to come to him, before the second US goal, but come on man, that is not going to cut it against the USA, the Czech or the Kazakhs.
A guy who gets a bit lost in all the excitement about Stützle, Peterka, Reichel, Seider, Schütz and Bokk, is Taro Jentzsch. I thought he played really well that period.

If they can keep the US to 6 goals or less, it will be a good result.

Yes, Stützle is their best forward. It is quite obvious. Bokk, Reichel, Peterka are very solid as well. Their D is below average except for Seider who just cannot play 45 mins per game. Still they look like a pretty competitive team.
