We need our other lines to chip in besides the Johansen line. Yeah Letestu is working hard (and he got 2 tonight!) but guys like Calvert, Cam, Wennberg (rookie I know but he ain't gettin' much slack from me) and Anisimov need to step up.

Also, our defense is really, ummmm, weird. And +/- is stupid, but Wennberg's -7 is kinda concerning. For comparison, Johnson's -4.

What? Cam was averaging a point per game coming into tonight and Anisimov had some big goals in the first couple games. Admittedly his production has dropped off but he doesn't seem to get a ton of ice time.

What a ****ing game. For them to be able to play like this without Jenner Dubinksy and Murray is pretty impressive.

And I didn't think it was possible for a player to go from overrated to underrated in 6 games is unreal. It's pretty obvious to see who watches Johansen and who doesn't on these boards. His dominance is undeniable at this point.
It's amazing how fast he got up to speed too.

When he scored his second goal I just shook my head in disbelief that we actually have one of the best players in the league. His first goal when he blew past the defender, I actually got chills. That was amazing.

Yes, I realize that, but that was when he was on Johansen's wing. We need guys to produce when they're not on Johansen's line, which is my point. I could probably rephrase as "whoever isn't playing with Johansen at the time needs to step up."

What a great win. Really made me happy to see them battle back and finish this one off.

The Johansen line was phenomenal tonight. Those 3 guys need to be kept together....great passing and possession from them. I also thought Cam and Calvy were great together, too. Boy when we get Dubi and Jenner back, this team is going to be scary.

Hartnell-Joey-Foligno
Jenner-Anisimov-Letestu
Calvert-Dubi-Atkinson
Skille-Chaput-Dano

Going to be lethal in a month

Johansen's backhand from that tough angle blew me away. When 95 percent of the league shoots that shot, it has next to zero chance of ever going in.

I'm especially impressed by the mental toughness of this team. Lesser teams would've folded like a house of cards after the waved-off goal.

Just wanted to say...love the grit and character shown by the Jackets today.

Most teams would have wilted after a no goal call like that...instead the Jackets fought back and won.

Can't say that I wish you guys luck tomorrow (ha), but I love the way your team plays the game. :)

Johansen proved to be a very mature player tonight IMO. No getting pissed off when goal disallowed, went to bench and got guys amped up to go out and get the winner, and we did. Good leadership out of him.

He keeps this up and the equipment manager may have to try to find where he left the "C"s. :D

Seriously, I am not that crazy about naming a captain. Not having one seems to have become a Blue Jackets tradition. I'm in favor of just embracing it.

"Jackets Hockey: Captain? We don't need no stinking Captain."

During the post game, the Sharks commentators were saying the same thing(well they only mentioned Jenner and Dubinsky. Mentioned Murray during the game).

Joey keeps playing like this for the next three years? I'll drive him to the bank.

Sadly I won't be able to actually get into the bank to give him money. It's more a "thought that counts" type situation. I probably could give him like 20 bucks. Maybe he'll be okay with that. And I just built a pretty sweet beaver out of Legos. He can have that.

That's what the kids are calling it these days?

WOW !!!! I am sorry I went to bed early and missed this game. Glad to see Joey become the dominant force he is capable of being. Glad to see Letestu wake up. Glad to see Hartnell with four assists. Glad to see the guts and determination.

But seriously, Wennberg should be in the AFL developing his skills as a center. Dano? He stays. He is ready to play wing in the NHL. But Wennberg needs to go down. This character building exercise they are doing with him is detrimental to the team at this time.

GREAT, GREAT win.

I'm pretty sure at one point Wennberg was centering Cracknell and Boll. What's funny is, until I read that from someone's comment (either here or elsewhere), I completely forgot Wennberg was in this game tonight. He was extremely invisible for someone who played almost 3 minutes on the PP and close to 14 minutes total in the game.

He had no hits, no shots on goal, no penalty minutes, nothing.. not even a giveaway or a takeaway. Just ice time and a -1 rating. 33% at faceoffs, too.

I went to bed at 2-0, SJ. Delighted to see the score and highlights, this morning. I just finished reading this GDT and I have to thank you all. Very entertaining! It must have taken heavy medication for some to get a restful night's sleep.

i went from the couch to the bed after the 1st and figured I'd watch until SJS scored the next one then call it a night...then all hell broke loose....although I think Joey got a raw deal with the incidental contact...I'm sorry "JUMBO" Joe couldn't get his ass out of the crease so his goalie could make a stop...that wasn't on Nick...but I'll take the win...
