I don't blame Swayman for the loss, not for his efforts in the regulation 60 nor in the fact that he got deeked out of his boots by one of the best players in the league in OT. I thought he was overall ok and the worst lapses were elsewhere.

But that's the problem. He was just ok. Just as he's been maybe slightly above 'ok' since he picked up his performance from the doldrums post-Christmas. And for a guy on over $8m with lots of term, having been almost a holdout, that's not really good enough, it's a problem, and you're going to get heat for it.

I really don't see him being traded. The Bruins do that and they're essentially committing to a full rebuild. But he has to be better. He's talked big, but that's the easy part. As such can only really hope that he eventually backs it up.

That was my breaking point with Swayman i think.

I've been a bit less harsh on him as a lot of folks here because truth be told, the team in front of him does suck and missing camp like he did tends to have a negative effect. But tonight? Absolutely no excuses.

The Bruins dogwalked the Leafs all night and f***ing moneybags over there lets them right back into the game. Pasta says i got this, then he does it again.

The OT goal was so, so bad. Marner is dangerous up close to be sure but you were on your stomach before he even made a move. Literally what the f*** are you doing?
The Bruins were turning pucks over the entire game with wide open lanes to get it out.And anytime a breakaway happens you can't fault the goalie.Jesus, he stopped a 2 on 0 earlier. You want to blame somebody blame the captain. He made a bone head play up 2 goals shorthanded to get Leafs feeling it.This teams is loaded with AHL fodder to boot.

He gave up weak goals while Stolarz made multiple ten bell saves to keep that game from getting truly out of hand.

Unacceptable.

The GM can’t draft and sucks at signing players. Logic would say, move on from Sweeney/Neely. They won’t. We’ll still be here in 3 years talking about having a prospect pool in the bottom third of the league. 10 years of Don is a big enough sample size to say he can’t draft.
