NYR are in first place. That's entertaining enough for me.
I asked this a couple of weeks ago: would you be happy with wins if the other team has 5 accidental self goals and the Rangers win, even though they played like doo doo? Obviously that is extreme, but the idea is what is it that you want as a fan? Win at all costs in any fashion or have the team actually be GOOD and win by being better than the other team?

When I think of that I think exceptions like the Stadium Series game where I wouldn't care HOW the Rangers won as long as it wasn't controversial, just get the W. But a game like today, or just in general, I want the team to be good.

Or, or, or, hear me out, fire Goodrow into the sun.

Honestly, the whole "Vesey is carrying Goodrow" thing turned green and went bad. That line has sucked with Vesey on it since the new year.

Oh, yes, but he’s not coming out for reasons, so I have just given up on that.

Yeah that's the ideal solution isn't it. But there's no way of getting rid of his cap hit. I guess just taking the cap penalty by sitting him or sending to the AHL could be an option, but I guess they view his off ice presence more important.

They could get rid of him if they wanted to. Plenty of dumb teams that see Goodrow as an asset. Look at the buzz Laughton is generating. The dude is an ECHL player.

Goodrow is here because the Rangers want him here.

Can't have a non speedster be a top 3 pick anymore
Frankly any pick. I still believe that they can work around Kakko's skating. It can be fixed to an extent, a lot other peoples skating has been worked with. And slower players can work in this league in a good system with the right teammates.

Mikko Rantanen, who we often refrence when talking about Kakko, is slow as f***. He has improved his skating, but he's still slow. Yet he's arguably a top-3 winger in the game.

Kakko's skating is not THAT bad that it prevents him from being a good NHL player. He just needs to improve it a bit, and improve the other areas.
