that's been the issue with that line. It's one and done in the offensive zone. It's opportunistic and finds success off the rush predominantly. Kakko adds a major possession element to the line.

That's why I'd thought it be interesting to bump up Kakko and have Kravtsov slot in with Chytil and Laffy.

but apparently Lechyushsyn is more valuable than the Chosen One.
Kakko is the only player on the team who can win a puck in the corner and move it to a teammate. Why is that?

That's his game. His big, has good edgework and can stickhandle. It's not that he can only get the puck but he holds onto it. The whole kidline excels at it when they're 'going'.

Kreider is capable when he's in the mood. He hasn't been the same since his shoulder.

Lesch centering that 4th line is a major eye-sore at this point. Either upgrade there (Carpenter is honestly better, especially for a playoff run, IMO), give Rydahl a damn chance between now and the deadline to see if he can fill the role or upgrade the RW and bump Vesey to the 4th line. It’s like, at this point you look at the lines and have a very deep, quality playoff roster with one glaring absolutely non-NHL player on it.

Vesey on line 1 is also an eye sore, even if he is a useful player. We have 2 top 6 wingers in Kakko and Tarasenko but we're still plugging bottom 6ers in there, drives me nuts. And Kreider and Zibanejad are two guys who struggle with puck possession in the o-zone, don't see how Vesey helps there, and Vesey isn't very good off the rush either which is what Kredier-Zib are good at.

Kreider - Zib - Kakko was an amazing play driving line early in the season just nobody could score a goal, wish GG would go back to that and not blindly throw the kid line together just because. I'd actually love to see Laf - Chytil - Tarasenko.

Biggest trap game I've seen in a while. Winnipeg is no slouch. Coming off a loss where they had the lead, a game on the road that was pretty evenly matched outside of home ice advantage... mix in that we are playing 4 out of 6 nights after a western Canada roadie, boy this has disaster written all over it.

I still think we have a good shot to win the game, but as a bettor I'm staying away. Only way I touch this game is if they go down early 1-0 or 2-0.

As a fan of Spittin Chiclets, I'd love for them to get yet another W as they are recording tomorrow's episode.

The only reason it’s marginally acceptable is that we seem set on keeping the kids and Bread/Tank together. But my preference is to upgrade with another top-six capable winger and bump Vesey to a 4th line of Motte-Goodrow-Vesey. That’s a great 4th line. Kid line. Bread-Tro-Tank. Kreids, Zib and anyone who can fill a top six more gracefully than Jimmy V.

Ignoring big fish like Meier and Kane, there’s guys like Domi, Athanesiou, Johansson, Nyquist, Suter available as rentals from non-playoff teams. Not to mention 4th line upgrades like Sheary, Hathaway, Tierney, Sanford, Sundqvist, Bjugstadt, Khaira who are at least WAY more of NHL players than Jake L.

Give Les a look with Motte. Sometimes it's all about chemistry. Sometimes certain combinations just click.

Does any of this matter ?

34 games this year, zero points, -10, 30 shots, exactly 50% on the draw. He brings nothing.
He’s a friend of the family, which makes Drury a sather like disgrace.

I don't think this will be an easy one. Jets are a good team. They have more wins than us.
Most of those wins have come against the west. They are 10-13 vs the east and 4-7 against the metro.

Why do so many people still want Kane. I just don't get it.
People really don't pay that much attention to other teams (fair, we all have jobs). We mostly just hear things. What we're hearing is that he's a big deal because that sells.

When you have information on the player it becomes "oh you read some chart."

The charts are more pertinent information than watching Kane once a year or listening to tabloids petaling a trade for clicks.

Those so called nobodies have already embarrassed us twice this season
We outplayed them the second time.

They're getting completely unsustainable cartoon goaltending.

I guarantee you they don't make it far enough to potentially see the Rangers.
