I just took another look at the hit on Murry by Brown. It does not look like he was trying to go for the head. Murry duck his head at the last second which by the time Brown saw he couldn't do anything to avoid his head.

If a player is responsible for his stick, maybe he should be responsible for the hit if he charges with such intensity from such a great distance. Having said that, Brown had no intention of doing anything else but what he did no matter what part of Murray's body was exposed. Very reckless.
