The only disappointing thing about this result, is that we won't get a Steve Dangle meltdown.

Has kovacevic been this soft and useless all year and I missed it ?

With Monahan and Edmunson both being injured the majority of teams are probably worried about acquiring them and if they would be healthy for the stretch run. That leaves Dadonov, Drouin and Hoffman who probably don't have much value. The only vets with value would be Savard and Anderson but Hughes would want an overpay for either of them to make a trade.
Savard, Anderson, Allen and Dvorak — one of these guys can surely find a taker.

4-1. Getting slaughtered now.
What took so long? o_O

He lacks the high end skill and speed to be that but he is definitely a solid second line center. If Dach keeps progressing will still have a good tandem of centers but not great. 4-1.
I've noticed he doesn't like it when teams get physical on him like not at all. He absolutely needs to work on his first step. He makes Tavares look fast.

Yeah.

All of the Habs d have been kind of bad if you judge them as veterans.

Xhekaj gets more of a pass because his bad plays/games are less and he brings more than the rest.

Only one who seemed to be consistently decent was Guhle.

Granted all these rookies, forward group young and immature just makes players look worse than they really are.

Dadanov
Drouin
Armia
Hoffman
Dvorak
All make me puke every time they step on the ice.
Prospective now: Bergevin was a worse GM than I thought!!!!

That's not what I am talking about. He lacks the high-end skill and skating of a bonafide number-one center. Plekanec played that role for us because we didn't have anything better and Suzuki is doing the same.
That’s why I’d love it if we were able to land that center with first line upside, in this draft.
