Every EC team below them won tonight except NYI who got a point against Carolina, and Detroit is up 1-0 on Nashville. Pretty much couldn't have been worse for the playoff aspirations.

Maybe Riley Nash should learn to win a board battle for once in his life. He has costed us serious points here. Single handedly.

Trash player. Absolute TRASH. Dog dirt.

Nash didnt cost us this game. The David line did.

Backes at 4 more years. Beleskey with 3 more. Good god.

So bad it's not even funny. Backes is being paid like a difference maker, which he is clearly not. Not even close. I shudder to think what he will look like in 3 years.

100000000% Bruins need fire That dingbat Sweeney

I am happy he hasn't done anything like everyone wants him to... HE'S NOT STUPID, he sees that we are minimum 6 players from a competitive team...in the past, we have traded draft picks and young players in desperation and we have set ourselves back so much by making these deals... Enough of those days... It's time to sell, it was time to sell 3 years ago but no one listened to me... It's time to break up the core, it just isn't good enough to win. Time to get rid of the big contracts, Krejci, Rask, Chara, Krug, Backes and the McQuaid, Miller, Nash, Hayes, Belesky players that just don't do enough for us to win.

It needs to be said - when the Bruins finally shed the less than competent defensemen they currently employ, the plan appears to be replacing them with the drafted defensemen of the past two years.

I hope everyone took a good look at Toronto's defense tonight. They are what a young defense looks like normally.

Somebody needs to teach Frank Vatrano some remedial backchecking lessons.

When is the last time the backup goalie won only one game all season? Has it ever happened before? Need a motherbleeping save some time:rant:

Krejci and Backes are not showing up. Bergeron Marchand Krug Pasta and Chara are this team right now. Rask is crumbling. The rest of the team is doing nothing. Krejci needs to go if you ask me

Totally expected when you don't have a real backup.

Julien let down once again by one of his binkies (Riley Nash) with the game winning turnover. Whatever moves Sweeney makes had better be for the future because the playoff hopes vanished tonight losing to the struggling Leafs.

David Krejci is my favorite player....but in a game like this - he needs to make more of an impact - this thing was wide open and there were plenty of opportunities to step up. Every time 63-37-88 was on the ice they were making something happen. And whether that was Vatrano's check or his...he really fumbled on that 5th goal. Pains me because I love the guy but I feel like his presence on this club is getting more and more questionable.

Really? Your thoughts about the 16-17 Bruins would be dramatically different if they won this one regular season game against the Leafs?

Have you been following the past three seasons? This is a dead ass team.

Yes. Going down at home 4-1 against the team you're probably fighting for the last playoff spot with, tying the game twice to eventually win the game is a massive win.

Instead they get their most deflating loss more than likely.

I see this as the tipping point. Call the season. I'm on board the "fire Don" train. If at the end of the day you haven't upgraded at the weakest part of the team, in some form or fashion, then you can't finish out the contract.

Clear the house. Go outside the organization. Let the GM choose to keep or fire Julien, as much as I want Julien to remain.

We're a one-line team with a $7M contract dragging down the 2nd line. Be careful with handling Backes. We don't want to regain that reputation of a place no one wants to play for.

We made Toronto look good. They're not.

Goaltending experiment: Pull an old lady out of the stands. Put her in the crease in a rocking chair. She is going to stop more than 20 out of 26 just by being in the way.

Nash didnt cost us this game. The David line did.

Losing the battle on the boards lost us that one.
Vatrano was ****. As were his lineys. But that should have been at least a point. Nash couldn't be a man and get dirty.
