I'm not expecting much. Mainly because all our semi-tough guys are injured. I don't understand how Gorton could assemble a roster that was incapable of protecting our stars and future stars while wasting roster spots on the PDGs of the world. He bears some of the blame for this.

Smith’s not particularly good but I’ll give him some credit; he’s a true hockey player. Like a classic. He’d have been great in an era with less skill or much clutch and grab probably. He doesn’t do anything super well but he can skate, can make the occasional nice pass, flash some occasional hands, likes laying the big hit, scraps, etc. He’s kind of a throwback, just not a very good one. Too prone to lapses. Everything you’re saying makes sense but I just feel like Smith is gonna Smith. In other words, just play hockey. He seems loved by the guys. I wouldn’t be surprised if he still came out looking to throw some hits and endear himself. I think it’s just who he is.

This will prove more embarrassing than Monday night's debacle and even more demeaning than the Rangers official statement. The Rangers will be there so they can collect their paychecks, but they won't show up. It sounds like Strome already threw in the towel. I'm convinced management did. Hell, Backstrom could rag doll them tonight. Prepare to be mortified.

Terrible, terrible, terrible publicity for the NHL. they should have fired Paros and give a 20+ games sus to Wilson.

Marketing wise it's atrocious for the NHL and their new contract.
 
Yeah, I feel like whatever our response is tonight, it'll be disappointing. I don't see any outcomes having the Rangers come out on top. What a mess.
