If Kane playing also, it could be one of those games when Red Wings enjoying watching him playingHughes in a game time decision he looked pretty hurt to end their game Friday evening. If he's out that is HUGE for us
Cheers thank youHave fun at the game.
I think the travel, mental fatigue, and getting yourself mentally prepared and focused for the next game is the biggest part. I don't think a 20 hour turnaround while playing at home would be much of an issue but traveling can suck. I remember playing hockey tournaments as a kid and having 2 games a day in back to back days, then the "gold medal" game would be an early Sunday game. My sister would play in the womens tournament in Brampton every year and they would play multiple games a day as well. Of course we were kids and had endless energy, but you could also look at it from the perspective of these guys being professional athletes who have been playing their entire lives and train year round.
Im respectfully pointing out simple facts for thought, im not sure I see the point of a snarky comment. I think a much bigger factor would be individual effort regardless of the level of competition. Kids don't get 18 minutes to rest between periods. Kids probably arent eating as high quality of food as these pros are. Its also pretty common for youth teams to ice 14-16 skaters, some teams may have even less, some may have more. Most kids would also hit the hotel pool or play mini sticks for hours after games while most of the parents had drinks. There are countless factors one could point out both ways, im just making the argument that although I don't believe fatigue in a back to back is a total non factor, its often very overstated. Back to backs on the road have to suck exponentially worse though.Oh yes I'm sure they were 2 3 hour games/day. Against the best competition in the world
Yeah, I’m just now realizing we have a game today. I didn’t think it was a possibility so didn’t bother to checkIt's something like a 20 hour turnaround between the end of yesterday's game and puck drop today.
Ridiculous.
Oh wow I almost forgot about that guy. Haha
Is Kane finally back? It said gametime decision. I would think Lyon would be in. Let Tarasenko warm the press box. He's just not what he used to be. Sucks we get this version of him.

If they are indeed breaking up that Elmer - Ras - Burger line... then... I might toss something at the screen.Kane is in. I think they’re sitting Shine.

They have scored half our goals the last two games. With the most consistent dangerous chances outside of the top line. Busting that up to slot in two of our worst ES forwards, is dumb.I don’t think they will. But it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
I love what McLellan has done, but his lineup decisions aren’t always on point. I don’t need to see Holl on the PK or Chiarot in OT.If they are indeed breaking up that Elmer - Ras - Burger line... then... I might toss something at the screen.
Nothing happening in a sports game is the end of the world, but they’ve been dangerous every other shift and have been producing. They’ve given us arguably the only functional 3rd line we’ve had all season.I don’t think they will. But it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
