Here's a bit of history related to the Gretzky trade.

Gretzky found out about the trade while babysitting for famous actor Alan Thicke. Gretzky had to leave Thicke's 11-year-old son so he could report to the Kings. Alan had no idea his son was alone until he came home from vacation.

That kid is now famous R&B singer Robin Thicke, best known for his hit in 2007 "Lost Without U", which I admit, is not really hockey music.

Damn, if some of you guys think Toffoli is a better goalscorer that Carter, it's time for me to check out of this thread for the night.

The problem I see is that we don't have a good #2C. Richards is doing zilch in the role, so is Stoll. No matter who gets put on wing with these two, their offense dies.

Nope it's not #2 center, it's that only the line that King is on is the only one that does anything offensively. Where King goes, the offense follows. Kopi doesn't get a pass from me, he's been garbage as well

You are absolutely hilarious, do you remember who was centering Toffoli through that drought. Mike Richards the guy who has been playing like **** for a while. Toffoli is a sniper, you set a guy like that up. You don't expect Toffoli to set up Richards do you?

Horrible timing for an outdoor game for Kings fan. Luc has been pushing for this for awhile and the kings look pathetic.

Would have been nice if Kopi attempted some moves on the ps.

Toffoli is a young kid, he's going to struggle and he needs the right linemates to succeed right now. How do you know he wouldn't snap out of it playing with Kopi and King?

Doughty, Quick, Carter and Kopitar are the only players that have shown signs of life during this collapse. That said, these 4 players arent even playing to their potential.

Its that simple.

It's true. Problem is that those guys are little a streakier than other top players, but if for example Toews, Kane, Keith, Sharp or Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Letang go into slumps in their respective cities they will slump as well. Those guys need to be better. I do believe they will turn it around though, this team has traditionally been absolute money down the stretch.

05-06 was having two awful goaltenders, this year the downfall will be offense and the total collapse of certain players.

Dean has some serious evaluations to make on certain players, this is not a slump, how many players on the Kings are trending upward?

What must they be thinking knowing they owe Brown and Richards almost $12 million a season through 2020. Richards making $7.6 mill for this embarrassment of a season, he might as well wear one of those presidential masks from Point Break when he cashes his checks.

I know...I moved to Denver 7 years ago...and typically only go to an AVs game when the Kings are here...but I watch some of their games.
I think 18 year old MacKinnon has more goals in the last 2 weeks than the Kings entire team.

We have the first goal of the game contest and the AVs have the "which player scores 2 or more goals tonight?" O'Reilly, MacKinnon,
Duchene, Stastny, Landeskog or Parenteau?
