Remember this guy was the reason why Henrik was bought out? Gorton is a f***ing coward. Gutted the heart and soul of the team for this terrible goalie and bad teammate.

I still think that a major factor in Dolan being unhappy with Gorton was him being forced to buy Lundqvist out. Dolan loved Hank. Gorton definitely told him it was the right move and they could compete for a playoff spot and Georgie was part of the future and then Dolan watches as Georgie sucks (and costs Dolan money on a TDA buyout) and the team misses playoffs by a lot. Definitely think the Hank buyout was the beginning of the end for Gorton.

He's not good enough to be a starter either. Just being better as a starter than as a backup isn't good enough, the bar is low.

What really doesn’t make sense to me is how literally every player from Kakko and Lafreniere’s respective drafts are outperforming them. There’s really something wrong with the way we develop forwards. Lias, Chytil, Kravtsov, Kakko, and Lafreniere all contributing below replacement level numbers is an absolute travesty and it’s surprising our record is as good as it is
