I actually like Reaves on this Strome and Panarin line.

Really? He's a terrible skater with below average hands and no vision. Is he better than Hunt? Maybe but Hunt is a good skater with below average hands and no vision. Two 4th lines every night will lead to losses. No surprise here.

It's pretty much hockey orthodoxy you need strong deep center corps to win, so it doesn't square that Drury, steeped in dumbshit old time hockey orthodoxy, is somehow is unaware of this or has neglected it because pizza or something.

Odd because he’s so far acted like he’s not aware he needs 2 more young talented centers more than anything else.

I mean, the first three guys of the rebuild were meant to be those centers. They just all busted. It's a rather tall order to get 2 versions of the most valuable asset in hockey in not even a year while competing right now.

They’re not competing until they get some centers. Yes they busted, have to keep trying till they get it right. Rebuild not over until then. This team isn’t a true competitor; it’s an illusion. It’s far too thin at forward to have a meaningful chance.

Perhaps if they weren’t so obsessed with shoehorning a competition window into Cris Kreider’s declining years they wouldn’t all have busted or they would have found one who wasn’t a bust.
