Post-Game Talk: GAME 52 - THE BEAR goes over Niagara Falls - Sabres 7 BRUINS 2

Good News, everyone else is losing in the East, who's in the WC race
The Bruins response :sarcasm:

Gonna be hilarious watching the mood swings on this board after we beat Winnipeg at home on Thursday and everyone starts doing the mental gymnastics to try to work out a deal to get Miller or Pettersson again....

Shouldn't the Bruins be looking to improve their roster? Miller & EP are both under contact for 3 more years. It's not like they're rentals.

What a game to watch live.

Positives:
First time using Nexus at the boarder leaving all other border crossers in the dust
Rock solid parking spot
Unbelievable chicken wings
Friendly servers
Excellent draft beer
Awesome company
Bruin fans galore
LuLulemon bruin leggings
Good pre-game atmosphere
Creamery ice-cream rocks
Part of my right leg made it on the jumbotron
Koepke was the only noticeable player (love his speed and compete)
So many goals
Made the right call leaving with 12 minutes remaining
Snowstorm was forming as we crossed the Niagara river

This game was a scheduled loss pending bills outcome. Only so much Buffalo fans can endure. I will sound like the anti-Poitras dude but he isn't ready. Missed coverages due to his weak staking. The line looked totally out of sync. To be fair all the lines were totally out to lunch. At this time I would send him back to P and recall Merk for a solid opportunity. Call up Lysell. Enough of this crap. Team needs skill and speed.

Negatives
Tage Thompson is meant to be a bruin. He's so friggin good.
Sad to see so many bears go over the falls ... unfortunately I didn't see Lindholm (what is wrong with this guy - he 's invisible out there!!!!)

Buy or sell? To some here it's more like bye or sell.
After watching that mess last night, I'm firmly on the sell bandwagon. That effort was ... pathetic at the very least. Trade whoever you can including Marchand. I only wish we could undo the Lindholm and Zadorov acquisitions. I don't blame Sweeney for those. Who could have envisioned they would be so bad. Rant over - coffee time!

Coaching wasn't the issue with this team. Most of us probably knew that at the time, but we were hoping to get lucky....
You got it but putting in a half assed effort is only on the players? I can take losses if they at least worked hard but that last night? Woof! Maybe we can clone Rod B'rind'amore??

I want to see this team with there 1A and 1B in the line up before joining the sell bandwagon. Will be interesting if they play tomorrow night. I suspect some guys will be shuffled between Prov and Boston.

Swayman will most likely play against Winnipeg and the Rangers so why did he play last night????????????
My only suspicion is that they know they're undermanned with all the injuries on D, so you play our best against Buffalo and secure the easiest 2 points available this week and then take your chances with Korpisalo either Thursday or Saturday.

Whelp, here we are.

Brickley and Judd were going through the recipe to make the playoffs during the broadcast open last night:
  • Play .650 at home
  • Play .500 at home
If we're having to play the numbers game in terms of whether this team sneaks in as a Wild Card or not, then what are we even doing here?

The body of work is pretty self-evident. They'll get blown out, usually on the road. They'll lose a couple in a row. Then they'll look competent and even string together a few wins.

They'll hover somewhere around A3-WC2.

Maybe they get in. Maybe not.

Does it really matter at this point?

I hear you but they were in the lineup and the beginning of the year and were not impactful.

Some time in our careers you will run into that one guy at work who everyone knows is lazy and cuts corners. You can never get ahold of them when you need something, they are the first one gone from their desk toward the end of the day. Their work is always bare bones, but somehow they never quite do enough to get fired. So they are there for years in that limbo of never achieving and never outright failing. They never have to worry about big projects or extra work because no one would dare put him on any team for something important or speedy.

I feel like I have been watching that sitcom this season.

Carlo had a tummy ache last night. Soft as butter.

Hard to win with that dcorp last night. I doubt that group would win at the AHL level. Zadorov makes me laugh. What a horrific player he is.

Hopefully both Mcavoy and Hampus are ready to go on Thursday, otherwise take the Jets -2.5 as a lock.

This team is embarrassing. Joe Sacco also out to lunch. No wonder he hasn't had a real chance to be a head coach after his stint in Colorado.

Everybody the Bruins needed to lose last night, lost and this was what we got. A 7-2 beat down at the hands of one of the worst teams in the league.
