I’m not sure which point you’re trying to make. The second example would negate the first. It would be very hard for them to co-exist.

Do you think it’s an Xs and Os thing? Too many of the same type of player? This team’s battle level is just so wildly inconsistent. And it’s mostly the vets/stars. I’ll take losses from an experienced team that leaves it all on the ice every night.
They don't negate each other at all. You can disrespect a person and get along just fine with them. As long as they can continue to play how they please, get their stats, have their preferred line-mates, why should they care if he keeps on asking them to play a different way? It's a similar kind of thing as when the vibe in the room is too chummy. If you never hear a loud voice, then softly-worded criticism isn't always heard as such. Tension in the room creates waves that can get out there. What I'm talking about isn't tension.
