Performances like this are why oddsmakers don't like us to win it all... pretty much ever. We won the Presidents' Trophy with the best record in franchise history and still were just sort of shrug-worthy contenders for the cup.

He is too tough physical skilled and a good hockey player. Rangers rather trade for the finesse softee that disappears in the playoffs or the big man that pushed by someone half his size.

Rangers on the boards the last 30 seconds is what the team is. No one trying to push bodies out the way, just standings there at a distance trying to poke the puck away with sticks.

Even without that soft goal, I saw a bunch more that should've went in, but didn't. Remove the softie for all I care and replace it with one that deserved to go in. Result is the same.

Florida is built for PO hockey , Bread and Mika have not shown up .At this stage of the POs its about attrition , FL is clearly better conditioned . Team showed me nothing this game that would make me believe they can win 2 games in a row there is a reason why the winner of game 5 in a tied series goes on to win at damn near 80% clip .

The Panthers are a much better team up front than the 1994 Devils were.

Teams that win when it counts have 18 good players. The Rangers have a long standing culture of tolerating loads of bad players because they're a vibe.
Igor is amazing but he has not yet had a game this series where he straight up says you are not beating me tonight.

The Panthers outside the goal crease are a slightly better team than the Rangers, but this one's on Igor. We're still waiting for a masterpiece performance and he just hasn't been able to do it. This Panthers team isn't exactly the dynasty Oilers; they're offense is very stoppable.
That being said, if you look back that Wennberg broken stick on the dump in started the entire sequence where Florida scored their 2nd goal. An awful break (no pun intended). This game had marathon OT written all over it
