Florida had a 4.45 XG all situations tonight, their second goal sucked from Igor, but we would have been out there for another 3 hours trying to score a second goal if the game was 1-1.

They can afford depth. They have to get smarter about acquiring it.

Depth is depth and from a holistic view means little. Depth players chip in and support. The big money guys are expected to bring results. These guys are staying because they're unmoveable. But at some point, running it back doesn't work anymore and hard decisions need to be made about breaking up the buddies and redistribute their ice time

Say all you want about Mika, not going to defend him but the notion that Trocheck all of a sudden is a 1C is baffling. He barely outscored Mika in what was arguably his worst season as a ranger and cant play defence for shit. He is constantly out of position and looks lost everytime his line gets scored on.

Punt Mika into the sun for all I care and if that somehow by some miracle makes the team better I am all for it. After all, I cheer for logo on the chest not the nameplate on the back but I do believe those of you who think Trocheck is the better player and the teams 1C are up for a rude awakening.

I am too stupid to give up on this team so on to the next game i guess....

Tro has been better at face-offs and has been a better playmaker this season. Tro may have had less points than Mika, but he was a contributing factor to Laffy and Panarin also getting those points.

Still don't get why we gave Rempe a chance over Edstrom

They could only keep one. Both Edstrom and Rempe make more money than Brodzinski.
Drury was skating the cap line.
Thought was better Edstrom go to Hartford and play meaningful minutes than be a 13th or 4th line forward hear.
Why Laviolette has chosen not to use him once the cap didn’t matter is a mystery.

we haven't seen that kind of possession from this team consistently enough. there's a few reasons for that. but the bottom line is the team isn't creating enough - especially not greasy type goals that are scored in postseason.

that said, rangers are a good team, and they can win game 6.

I thought the Rangers played better tonight. The Panarin disappearance and a couple of other factors.
As much as I don’t like Miller, he played better tonight. Schindler? Played better tonight, Zibanajad made an appearance.
Hopefully they bring forth this effort and more on Saturday
The other thing I don’t understand is why Bob is getting away with nobody even touching him or a scrum in the crease.

They played better compared to two games where they got caved. They still were poor. The amount of defensive zone turnovers was abysmal. I have never seen that many unforced turnovers before. The amount of chances in front of our net wide open was crazy. I lost count but was nearing 10.

I wouldn't give up on this team.

With a healthy Fox, they probably make it to the Final despite the alarming holes in the lineup.

I have a bunch of changes and believe me when I tell you that I'm gonna be obnoxious this summer, but I'm tired of hearing about blowing up the core.

While I don’t have the same faith in Zib and Bread, I would like to see them run this back with more speed at W and 2 more PMDs. The issue will be accomplishing all that in a single offseason with limited cap.

Least I can take solace in knowing that this deep run has given Drury all the info he needs to evaluate what we need moving forward and who is expandable.

I love Rempe but last 2 games he seems gassed. It’s a lot to take in for a rookie.

Kakko once again is mostly useless. Should drop to line 4.

As far as hockey stuff goes I thought game 4 was actually his best game of the series.

Heres the harsh truth though, he just isn't that good and he's been incredibly ineffective physically in this series. Has he thrown a single hit of any significance?

Laviolette’s having a brutal series IMO. No pulse on what’s actually happening in-game.

Why he refuses to get Laffy out there for 20+ minutes & give him PP1 time is baffling. It's not like the PP is lighting it up, it clearly could use a jolt.

Plus he never makes in game adjustments....Trouba & Gus should've played 10 mins max tonight.

He had a good regular season, but he's been a Gallant clone this postseason.

The call on Gus that negated the Florida penalty was crap. Should've been 5 on 3. Small moment that changes the entire game.

I won't say it was close in the third I will freely admit that but pretty much this. He did the same shit against Tampa. Outmatched or not, it's getting old seeing him come up with a mariculous save and then not being able to rely on him to make a routine save. I just don't trust him on any shots because literally any of them can end up in the back of the net.

Good to know that you haven’t trusted him on the 96% of the shots he has saved.
