Not a curse. Vegas was gifted a crazy good team. Seattle .. not so much, but a ton better than we were gifted. Plus, AVs are not the avs of last year
I thought both Vegas and Seattle had two of the worst rosters I've ever seen. I don't think you can find one writer that picked Vegas to even make the playoffs year one.

I think they proved that no one in the NHL really knows anything. We throw in Tuch for them to take Haula so we can protect Scandella wasn't it? Throw in Marchessault to take Reilly Smith off our hands instead of whoever?

No one valued these guys properly and part of it was opportunity that ice time opened up for these players that no team really valued until they got a chance to shine on expansion teams. Go look at trade board thread opinions of McCann from last year. Not worth a 2nd rounder.

Russo said when Kaprizov started skating again that it's an injury that's going to affect him quite a bit for the rest of the season.
But Kap didn't look this bad in the last 2 games of the season compared to what he has looked like since he was crosschecked repeatedly by Suter in game one.

It was throwing in their choice of Tuch, Greenway or Kaprizov to protect one of Staal, Coyle, Nino, Brodin or Dumba, I believe.

Then you clearly never looked at the Wild and Blue Jackets rosters for our expansion...

I’m sorry, but I call BS. His skating has not looked at all hampered since his return. Hes spent more time trying to be physical and mix it up post whistle in the first few games… I personally think he’s just lost his mojo.

Vegas got Karlsson, who played 4th line on Columbus and had a career high of 9 goals and then he scored 43 on Vegas top line.

Wasn't the original claim something along the lines of more success than we've had in the last decade? Why is our expansion roster relevant?

Suter back to cross checking kap

Another penalty kill

Sounds like Deano will give the boys the day off tomorrow!

I'm 100% not making excuses for him but rather repeating what Russo said 3 weeks ago and it's happening exactly as he predicted it would.

Also keep in mind that in the regular season, Kaprizov played one game, had 2-3 days off, played in another, and had 3 days off after meaningless games.
